Sgt Kenneth Holland + 152 Squadron
I have just heard that a wreath will be laid at 12 noon UK time on Sunday, Nov 12 at the memorial stone for Sgt Holland, at Woolverton, just off the A36 road to Bath.
This brief act of remembrance is being carried out by members of the Frome branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, which has just taken over responsibility for the upkeep of the memorial. I mention this in case anyone wishes to attend.

This sounds interesting, Tangmere. I’ve seen a photograph of the wreckage in a book and it was credited to the Imperial War Museum (London). I wonder if this is the same picture? Is there any way of sending me a copy by email? Try sending it to moorhouse1 AT mac.com

Just a brief updater for all those who have looked at my original query: I have had an excellent response from members of this forum!
More details about Ken ‘Dutchy’ Holland are still coming in to me from various sources, so the picture of the man is being added to by the day. This note is simply to say a brief and sincere thank-you to all who have contributed their time and knowledge.

Many thanks, Tangmere. Could you ask your colleague to email me using moorhouse1 AT mac.com – so I can get in touch? By the way, what is your special topic of interest?
152 Squadron
Thanks, Ettrick. You’re correct – the website is http://www.152hyderabad.co.uk and it’s full of interest, but does not carry the information I am seeking. I’ll have to keep on looking!
152 Squadron
Thanks, Snapper. I’ll keep looking!

An excellent forum! I’m new here, but have been involved with aviation and WW2 topics since an early age. I’m impressed with your knowledge, Snapper.
Perhaps you know something about Kenneth Christopher Holland, of 152 Squadron, one of the Battle of Britain “few”, who I am currently researching? He died on Sept 25, 1940 after a battle with a Heinkel 111, his Spitfire crashing at Woolverton, just south of Bath. Would be grateful for any information, or suggestions on where I can discover more.
