Vishnu is a very fair journo.,He can only ay what he was told by authorities.

nEUROn demo program, according to rumours, is over. And successful. Launched successfully Mk82 in Sweden.
Simplyvthat due to ROE,a plane can lose to others? Not big newsthat Typhoon isn’t a hot potato in WVR?
as adding bankrupts countries to NATO make the organization more dysfunctional.
Russia want to join NATO?
Btw, Revellin Falcoz stated that Rafale pure frontal RCS (i guess un loaded) is similar to that of a sparrow (source, Rafale Confidential documentary interview, findable on youtube). Afterall he as the head engineer in charge of the program. (that to answer to Vnomad saying eurocanards state a 0.1 sqm RCS)
– Replace the Meteor with the Aim-120D and the result wouldn’t change very significantly.
Are you kidding??? AIM 120 D is years (if note a decade) late as compared to Meteor…
What, a Rafale fanboy in this thread!? 🙂
This is really between the F-35, SH/Growler, and Gripen E… is Dassault going to bother participate?
Has the Finnish Air Force ever used any French a/c?
Finnish Chieff of Staff recently flew a Rafale backseat. Dassault is fairly dubious as previous RFP was for single engined jets only and finnished with F-18… (and yes fault is intentional)
Dunno for RFP, but RFI was sent months ago, but sshhhhh……….
What?
Something sensible like having a manned and a UCAV components of FCAS, the design leadership of the first being given to Dassault, the design leadership for the unmanned component to BAE, the propulsion to RRoyce and the systems to Thales?
Not gonna happen, too sensible…
The cynic in me is saying that if someone decides that FCAS ends up replacing part of the RAF Phoon fleet, the rest will be replaced by a future project called “let’s just buy another batch of Dave’s and be done with it”, a bit like “Scavenger” turns into “another sqn of Reapers please”.Cheers
You know i’m a dumb optimistic Sintra 😉
OoohI hope it’s a major programme and not just avionics, weapons pods and cfts. A French need for a new aircraft night might also require a replacement to Typhoon to be an extension of FCAS.
Definitely. Lets hope our industrials will be grown up enough to work in a real collaboration…
Good news for Typhoon program.
Now, we just to need to know what’s exactly Rafale NG. 🙂
Exactly, will it be MLU or brand new? I think the result will come from FCAS drone. Btw, minister also said that research “bricks” would also be implemented on manned/unmanned fighters. Understands who can.
Very interesting sentence from french MoD in latest Air&Cosmos summer edition.
SCAF (for France) will be composed of Rafale NG (rénové) AND a Drone.
I just hope they aren’t made out of a freakin aluminium..
Where’s lukos when one needs him 🙂
Spoiling indian forums
DDM-NG have only 2 sensors and have to use fish eye effect to see around ( and there still significant part blocked by the airframe ) , DAS have 6 sensors so each sensor have to cover alot less volume of sky) , i didnt see you disagree when people on Rafale thread say they heard some unnamed pilot say DDM-NG allow track, attack enemy’s fighter, or even estimated range to a missiles
Biased much?
Noone said so. And the original article is easy to find on Defesanet. V. Riller spent two full weeks testing Rafale.
Btw no use counting modules on a mock up presented for PAS…
