Google trad. New contract studies for next gen active radar antennas;
Delegate General for Armaments, Laurent Collet-Billon, officially presented today at JeanBernard
Levy, President and CEO of Thales a contract for Technology Studies
on the next generation of active antenna radar. This project aims to demonstrate
technology multifunction panels and new modular architectures
calculator. These new antennas are designed to equip forward the Rafale fighter and
future projects of air combat drones.
Representing € 89 million over several years, this investment demonstrates the effort devoted
by the state to maintain the technological lead of the French defense industry, particularly
in the field of military aviation. After making the first European
active antenna radar serial Rafale, France intends to maintain its leading position in
the field of airborne radars.
These studies will demonstrate the maturity of the components and produce antennas
multifunction (radar, electronic warfare and communications). These new antennas offer
also a significant advantage in terms of scope and discretion of the aircraft and will
to maintain the highest level of technology the French combat aviation industry.
