    ‘Nuclear sharing’ is an intrinsic element of the non-proliferation regime. It is essentially a bribe from Washington to the recipient states so that they do not feel compelled to develop nuclear weapons of their own accord.

    Don’t worry, here we have ASMP/A and mach 5/8 future dev inc 😉

    ToT isnt the same thing as production share… you are confusing ToT, workshare and offsets.

    This moring Eric Trappier confirmed that workshare is established between HAL and Dassault. There will be two supply chain, and the industrial meccano is built in every details, all companies etc. etc. are identified and in contact. Both French and Indian ministires were told so. (Reading between lines, technical contracts are wrapped up).
    “OFF” information : Rafale team isn’t concerned by indian elections as both ruling and opposition parties agree on MMRCA.

    Mr Trappier (Dassault CEO) was talking about that this morning.

    Basically, nEUROn reached or exceeded every intended stealth parameters suring test in “solange” DGA test bench till Ocotber.*
    Since about 20 flights were done in order to expand flight domain, each one satisfactorily.
    There will be inputs from neuron and taranis in EFCAS (not great news). Feasability contracts to be awarded this year oafter te signing of letter of intent end of january.
    There should also be inputs of Neuron in “european MALE” project (Dassault, Alenia and Airbus). Definition studies were already led, with a positive feedback from french gov.

    Are the whole E3 fleet up to block45 in USAF? Isn’t the French E3 the most capable beside US E3?

    Only one fully retrofit yet. Others to come.

    @Hallow:

    – I guess that “F2” stand for the Japanese jet
    – Clement Ader never really flew.

    About Ader, no real clue. Nvm, you got the idea.

    I don’t see it. What about a turboprop? T-prop trainers are made in the country after all.

    And probably the best embedded simulation system (PC-21)

    Well, I guess Selex has a backlog stretching it to 2040 for the current Eurofighter and Gripen orders… systems that are due to be operational by the end of 2023.

    Or maybe the production capacity numbers are grossly underestimated.

    Forgot to say, as Clement Ader flew before the Wright brothers, this is a definitive clue about french designs are ahead of US no?

    This do not depend on new Gripen order, there will be a retirement of F5 whatever so as to explain the emergency of Gripen order.

    Raytheon delivered > 500 AESA; NG~ 280. Except for a few Rafales and F 2, no other country has anything operational;

    Rafale F3, not F2

    no other manufacturer (than Raytheon and NG) can produce more than 10 AESAs/y;

    Wrong, Thales is producing more atm. (11 for normal Rafale production + some for F1 upgrade)

    There is a video on youtube showing an EOTS locking on a window of a hotel in Las Vegas, at 45 Nmiles. That’s > 80 km. Do you know any other FLIR that can do better?

    yes. Tracking a moving aircraft 20 Nmiles away…..And it is not EOTS but an EODAS like system. Tracking a window 45 NMs away is far from upper hand performance. Some reco/tracking pods have more than one meter long focal…
