    Some infos about Meteor integration

There were uncertainties around different aerodynamic and structural aspects : the first test was designed to raise these doubts and guarantee two particular points. The first point is to ensure that the aircraft doese not swallow wake of booster or it will have no influence on the propulsion and maneuverability of the launcher. The second point is to verify that the wedges used to adapt the missile on the ejectors do not damage the launcherby tearing during firing.
    *
It remains to verify that the Navigation System and Attack Typhoon is capable of initiating the missile with the lens data correctly . This is a goal the next 2 shots trials.
    *
The second objective of these two shots is to validate the new ejector body. These pneumatic ejectors have been substantially strengthened to ensure the separation of METEOR , 20% heavier than the AMRAAM . A full extension of ejectors , the missile must have a separate and autonomous trajectory without danger to the wearer when the drive is off.
    *
Both trials will take place at altitudes and speeds for widely different side employment area of the ammunition.
    *
Six other trials will follow in order to open theenveloppe … Which should last 18 months ( at least).

One leg trips to Afghanistan sounds plausible in maximum ferry with the three drop tanks and 2000L per CFT. That is roughly 2500 pounds each CFT. It’s hard to believe Rafale and M2K lug around three 2000L jugs.

    More then that…

And there could be a centerline 2000L instead of (damn dont know the name of the thingy that allos buddy to buddy refueling in english)

Care to explain what you mean? “New stealth”?

I think he is talking as speed as new stealth as stated by LM and reported by Sweetman.

Very difficult stuff as you have to review all the fuel system. I suppose not strictly impossible though

Dubai Air Show 2013 : A paid flexible and consensual approach to French

NOVEMBER 28 , 2013 in ARAB WORLD FRANCE

    5

For French industrial aerospace and defense , Dubai Air Show 2013 offsets the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of their presence in the Emirates lounge two years earlier. Since the 2011 edition, when the leaders of the French aerospace industry found themselves on the margins of the major events in a certain way , and when they were attacked through their Rafale, there had many changes which enabled them to recover their rightful central place in this area. Now the French manage through these changes , including their own approach to the UAE market to focus all attention Emirati officials , starting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan .

Between the 2011 Dubai Airshow this year and therefore , there has been a series of changes to the benefit of French industry : strategic change , with an even greater rapprochement between Paris and Abu Dhabi on the records more sensitive to the UAE leaders ( the Muslim Brotherhood , Syria , Iran ), while the British positions on these issues were misunderstood a point of view UAE ; political changes (with the support of bilateral case , so particularly clever and pragmatic, highly appreciated by the Defense Minister Jean- Yves Le Drian ) changes in France , at the industrial level ( including appointments visible Gifas and the arrival of Eric Trappier a “old” Mirage 2000-9 program , head of Dassault Aviation) and technologically (progression of the nEUROn program , operating Jamahiriya and Malian experience on Rafale and Mirage ) . All these changes allow style changes in Franco- UAE relations between the French authorities (especially JY Le Drian and E. Trappier ) and their UAE counterparts ( the inevitable Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan ) and a positive trend image of France , its leaders and its industrial , a little blurred some image for Emiratis at the end of the first decade. The aggressiveness , which could alert Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has given way to a style of negotiations much less stressful because less urgent and less rushed .

Curiously, in this context, it was the British who now seem to annoy their UAE counterparts , making the ” sarkozysme ” excessive for the promotion of their interests in the UAE market … This British forcing a little ” to Sarkozy ,” and impelled even announce on the eve of the show, Eurofighter contract with the United Arab Emirates, today shows its limits. Once again, with the British. Moreover, it has not escaped the keen observers of scenes of Dubai Air Show this year, when the strong man Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has avoided meeting British Prime Minister David Cameron who wanted a stopover in Dubai on his way to Asia, and Defense Minister Philip Hammond , who had to settle for a public meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan . As for the French , official and industrial authorities , they seemed to be given special attention by Mohammad Bin Zayed himself, a MBZ would have spent more time with Le Drian and Trappier with several international delegations met.
