k thx. Wanted your confirmation. Any news of recent manoeuvers (those where a Rafale was lost)?
Question to FA18 : legacy hornet?
There was also a defeat (RIP to pilot)
with mods? why?
So as i wish you to keep smiling i wont post you that old video of Rhino in Rafale hud :dev2:
only joking. It’s good to joke time to time on forums… People are so serious…As if WE were to judge, evaluate and sell/buy aircrafts.
Because you are a naughty boy? 😮
The opinion that i have gauged talking to many USAF pilots who fly the F-16, and F-22, has been that the Typhoon is an amazing fighter and so is the rafale. Their opinion is that both these birds have superior performance to the legacy jets are firmly 4.5 generation. Having superior capability does not translate to having a guaranteed kill as demonstrated on several occasion. Bi-lateral or Multi national exercises are performed to test out tactics and performance against the best of the best using systems and tactics you are not very familiar with. During the course of such encounters various tactics are practiced that do turn to be very bad..Hence every pilot i have spoken to values such encounters and claims he is a much better pilot having been a part of such an experience. For example, we know that the F-22 does not have an HMD and therefore in WVR it is at a disadvantage, so a lot of these efforts are to come up with tactics to counter this as much as possible, I bet same would be for all foreign fighter pilots who want to develop the best tactics for their fighter during peace time.
Agree bring it on, simply was i overreacted to a trollish message. My apologize. I’m touchy about Rafale :highly_amused:
Dunno what an F16 pilot will say, and in noway i implied they are magic. But i talked with some eurocanards pilots (in my case rafale).
If you knew everything about F22… Far from unbeatable (although best air superiority plane atm), specially in BFM. I have a beautiful video with hud kill fox2 and prolly gun kill in bfm from a eurocanard on F22… That i cant post, believe me or not, idc.
You are missing one point tempest : F1 do not have magical DSI
Not a great example as it explains that to go that fast it consumes a great deal extra fuel and the F-16 can do the same if it wants to but it will of course use slightly more fuel due to not being optimised to fight at that speed. Make no mistake though the F-16’s can fly and fight like that if it needs to.
F16 is a gorgeous plane, but now outdated and regularly beaten in every exercise (except on dissimilar encounters) by eurocanards. Take it or no. Every clues are there.
Not true. F-16 has a lot of problem especially against EF-2000 and Rafale in recent exercises.
Smaller RCS, better kinematics and sensor fusion together plays on Rafale/EF-2000 favour in those engagements.
Rafale beat Chilean F-16 blk 52+ in exercises according some reports ( Gen. McNamara – Chilean Air Force).
German Eurofighter did better than greek F-16 blk 52+ during exercises (EF WORLD).
Not talking about pre red flag exercises years ago etc. Ridiculous assumption.
Considering the ancient F-16 has no problem with the magical Eurocanards and the F-35 is no slower in a combat configuration I think you’ll find your calculations belong in the dustbin. The growing list of potential F-35 customers would agree too it seems.
Where did you hear that fairy tale?
Let me know when Europe finally puts DSI on a plane.
What for? We can do supersonic air intakes without it (and without moving parts). Could we stop that chldish mine is bigger then yours game?
