Btw Yama, at least one shot was missed because the exocet was released… Too low (security altitude)
Morocco would be negociating 12 F16V.
Rafale and Spad Xiii. 100 years of mil aviation. Enjoy!
From LM and the Belgian partnering industry in Wallonia*:
Frankly… Not the strong point of US offer… Hilariously their main partner is SABCA (a Dasault subsidiary)
France would have to change their plans for their Rafale squadrons of course to accomodate this.
. Already done. Think we would need to wait for a big order from India (an dsubsequently and indian production chain)
Most interesting part will be retex abou interoperability. Specially bteween these unit that are used to be frontline…
Honestly Frnce should just GIVE these planes to Belgium so as to break the de facto incoming monopoly of F-35
agree mrmalaya.
Her majesty the mirage IV (4000 would also be awesome, but only one built)

olitics may also play a role, in favor of a US solution. Sweden is a near neighbor and very important partner to Finland of course, but after the Swedish military has been decimated over many years, I don’t see Sweden ever become in a position to give any substantial support to Finland, Sweden will struggle to defend itself! The only country that can support Finland and provide a credible deterrence is the US. Thus if Finland believes that the US support will still be there (in spite of all the America First talk) then politically it makes the most sense to buy US fighters.
Sweden is strongly rearming. Conscription, remilitarization of Baltic island, reparation of airbases etc.
nope Yama the three eurocanards have self protection jamming capabilities, to different extents eof course.
Given that the F-15C (you know…. the one that has never lost in combat) has never gone above mach 1.4 in combat then m1.6 should be just fine.
Against who? because neither Gripen nor M2k never lost in combat either (as an example)
Less than some others. And i do not care really about 20 or 30 secs to cross transsonic. Supercruise is not a marketing pitch. It was part of fighters requirements in Europe (specially F-22) in order to cross western Europe quickly. There is no + to the mach 1.6, and afaik (i may be wrong) there is no clue that it is while carrying 4 AMRAAMS and fuel for 760 nmi. FBW you know perfe tly those data are not public. Adaptative cycle engines arent a new thing btw.
There is a very significant difference between a plane able to supercruise – or not-. Remember supercruise was part of the definition of 5th gen acording to LM?
Danish numbers were heavily criticized. F-35 life cycle cost is impossible to compute (see Uk lawmekers inquiries), and the way danish estimated other lifecycles was -at best- disputable as they did not use the same sources, numbers etc. For each plane.
