Egypt already couldn’t use its F-16 for missions above Lybia due to USA not delivering MDFs (private info). So it is fairly natural that independant countries worry, isn’t it?

Identification of assets, deconfliction, guidance, exchange of information, simply receiving coordinates from a JTAC and clear isn’ t far enough..All tasks that require to be close to troops. Btw, most often, a show of force is largely enough and widely used (doese not fit with distant CAS theory of LM)

I don’t really follow the idea that Rafale and Typhoon are reaching the end of development. I thought the French government were committed to Rafale long term and if Germany opts to replace Tornados with Typhoons further development would take place.
