    1. If the F-35 quote is cheaper than the Rafale, then the F-35 quote is faulty. and either doesn’t contain the price for all the other stuff, is an outdated quote, or a bad quote all together
    2. If the Rafale quote is cheaper than F-35, it is accurate and fair. Totally ignores all the issues of the above quote.
    3. None of them have any idea of the F-18 quote.

Compare OFFICIAL numbers (SAR and french senate). There is nothing such as F-35 cheaper quote. Just poor extrapolation of misinformed journalists, without any precicion about content…

Also notice that terrain following radar, nape of the earth flight, in weather, are old stuff. The USAF and the Navy have been doing such operationally since 1966 and Vietnam. The Lybian air raid and GWI did dramatically demonstrate that massive low alt penetration was a rather costly endeavor.

Hmm i would like to have numbers… (i) of hat was called “low altitude” (ii) of percentile of loss in both low/medium altitude vs number of missions…

Can somebody give us an update of which of these feateares (Eurofighter picture above) are founded and when they are planed to be implementated ?

Radar, helmet (done), new computers, scalp/SS, new DASS for sure. T3 are plumbed for conformal tanks. No TVC, dunno about passive RWR, no TF mode on AESA. (anyone know which type of terrain following use US fighters, digital maps or radar or both?). Brimstone evolutions (crazyly expensive and overspecialized imho) come to my mind.

Step2a. Sabca in Belgium (owned by MDBA) was deeply involved in that program (Falcon5X)

It would be nice if at least ONE time, you took 2 mins to check facts before writing… SABCA is owned by Dassault, not MBDA. But nevermind, keep spamming heroic fantasy to entertain us here… Oh… And structil is far from being a “strategic” anything in Rafale program…

Oh btw, please spare us “analysis” on news feed…

Given that BAE have been pushing ahead with this technology for over a decade, I wonder if it will feature in their FCAS system?

Very possible if it works fine. They seem to vave been very far in VLO (and different solutions rom France and UK, due to soverignty issues) e.g. they are tryong to incredibly minimize maintenance periods of the engine so as to… Limit the number of time traps are opened/closed.

Germany’s reluctance appears to be almost completely associated with their desire to foster a healthy domestic military industry and has nothing to do with Russian or US relations. Given the German Chief of Air Force has already advocated in favour of the F-35 I don’t see how you can make that baseless claim.

And he was whistled back to his kennel.

The NATO 2% commitments goes back to at least 2006

1st it is nothing but contractual. It is a commitment to work “toward”
