halloweene, I think you missed my point….

My example was showing that a private contractor had better Computer Security procedures in place than the Gov.

    FFS, Turn on your spellcheck.

To answer your other question, SATCOM comes to the F-35 in Block 4.

in that case i apologize. For the sake of your info, defense conmputers have inhibited USB ports etc.

Mant things are comimn with block4, aswell as with Rafale F4 (including doftware defined radion called ERS-B already mounted on B301 so as to demonstrate fast datalink netwroking) etc.
    Swiss will tell.

Did i bring Rafale in? Not me. Easy thing to bring her in, than accuse me of poisoning. My noe and oly claim is that F-35 is not fit for every mission and that is why more F-18 and 15 are ordered.

Not all. Despite your rantings. -(pretentious ignorant)

Do any of you muricans realize that ANY F-teen are considered as fresh meat by ANY eurocanards (not to talk as the not so awesome F-22)

For god’s sake, leave your basement and ask to pilots!

“paperless office” does not mean much if you allow stupid stuff to still occur.

CAse in point, a brand new VA facility in Florida was viewing a demo from our company who currently hosts major health system’s data every day (no name dropping but #1 for-profit HC system, #1 non-profit HC System, etc). The feds have been staunchly opposed to us hosting their data (in the “cloud”) and insist on hosting their own data, which we fully support.

In the middle of the demo, someone in another building uses a USB stick from home on their work PC.

    …..

Two days later the local network comes back online.

How the F can Governmental computers be built with functional USB sticks and DVD drives, especially after Stuxnet? Even our sales force laptops, owners, lead devs, etc cannot attach a USB stick or access the DVD drive in order to severely limit how data comes into our system.

Considering your abysmal ignorance of french procedure, i will not answer. I wouldn’t to a worm either, do not feel vexed. 5relmeber the PROVEN terabytes of info stolen about F-35?)

PS these are DAssault cmputers, not gov. You know, the company that make the software used to build the puffin like “plane”?

Wonder how she flies with all the non-jettisonable crap hanging off her?

Easy. Much bette rthan F-35, faster and with a 11g limit. Sorry for your flying turtle. PS they also have a satcom, what about F-35, they need a pod?

Don’t worry. Vs Rafale F1 (!!!!) avg survival time of F-14 wand around 45 secs and F18 C/D under 1.30. I will not be rude and tell you the rest, including trilat where F-35 where so crappy that they avoided first week…
Simply because at the time it could only operationnally use 2 missiles (with overestimated pk aka 120C)

PS about F14 and 18, upi can ask conirmation to any Truman pilot 😉

Anw, this has nothing to do with the inability of F-35 to use heavy ordnance.

Can’t even tell you the average survival time of F-18 E/F vs RAfale in manoeuvers, you would not believe me…

Not but JASSM is and the LRSAM is a modification of JASSM. JASSM integration on the F-35 is already funded.

    Good. NGM is funded also.

Perhaps you’d like to actually do some research to find out how significant the F-15E radar upgrade is?

Confusing F-15E and SA? Nevermind. The real thing is that PENTAGON said F-35 doese not it for all and need more F-15. Coma.

Originall my point was to say that PENTAGON said F-35 was not fit to lead heavy ordnances for long distances. Not ME. However.

JSM explosive ordnace is very small.

    LRSAM is NOT operational. etc.
The issue here is that F-35 is not fit for EVERY mission. There is no free meal.

“F-15’s radar is far more powerful than Eurofighter, Gripen and Rafale’s radar”
https://www.raytheon.com/capabilities/products/apg82v1 Any performance on specs? I am not doubting you because this radar is whole lot more new and considerably big.

    usual blah blah.

And yet is still used by all radar
and all support jamming old or new have to use the so called grandad ‘technique aka noise jamming

support hjammig is 70ies techniques (à la Growler). You did not answer about the age of your antique book. J/S ration is just good for white noise jamming, aka granddaddy’s

LRASM is not operational, first release from B21 being a year old. Aka It is efficient as Nothing. Dosent even have EOC on F-18, not to say F-35… Short legged interim solution, real competition will be in 2024.

how many decades old is you rbook? Burn through ranhe is only useful if you want to overcome original return. Grandad’s technics.

LRASM is every bit as fast as Exocet,

    (i) i prfer numbers to bold affirmations like “in every bit)
(ii) not operational yet so if you want o compare, compare to NGM or to perseus

Did halloweene just criticize the LRASM as slow? Then what’s the Storm Shadow then?

Is LRASM fully intgrated in F-35? Afaik it was mostly tested on B1B

@marcello by alleveidences, the very poor radar rating of F-15C is due not to have aesa. Whay not compare it with a sopwith camel?

Nvm, this is not a µRafale thread. I just brought here storm shadow as an example of F-35 limitaitons. (PS SS speed is 0.95 mach depending on altitude)

True that would be funny. The idea of the F-35 carrying several million dollar stand-off munitions. Keep them on the aircraft that are unable to penetrate enemy air defenses successfully.

in your dreams and for how long? Fully betting on “stealth” is 90ies concept. Electronics and informatics made so many progreess since that F-35 concept MAY be obolete quite quickly.

Why? Storm shadow is well within the limit to carry in the inner stations.

    Thanks for enlightening my day.

JSM is short legged and has only one third of explosive loading of storm shadow. Not the same purpose. Finally due to its range, what would be the use of a datalink at more than 500Kms?
LRASM is so slow that it wouldn’ hit a pedestrian fleeing… (and would be destroyed wayy before) the only way LRASM can be efficient against protedted target is a pack attack but i do not think it has this capability, doese it?
