Hi all, firstly I just want to cover a few comments

Nils -“I had to change my password as appartently it didnt want to accept my old one” – That was a security matter, everyone had to change their password.

Things noted this morning have been passed on to the developers and changes are going to be made as per your comments and suggestions. Moderator powers have been given back to some and more will get theirs next week. My colleagues have been dealing with that today!

Thanks to Tony C for your kind words. My aim is to be as active as I can be as often as I can be, but bear with me as I am in and out of creating content for Key Aero, AFM, Combat Air and Air International too (my main job). But my job is also to keep the forum going as best it can be.

Watch out for more updates either later today or early next week, but in the meantime, I will be active so feel free to give me a shout.

Hi all,

As I’ve said, we are not planning on removing moderators and it is something we will work to fix ASAP! It is not something we have planned to scrap.

As per thread view numbers, I will note it and we will try to get it re-instated.

As a journalist and not a massive website tech guy, these changes have to be passed on to developers. All of your criticisms and complaints have been noted.

That is my way of thinking too, Fouga23. We are exploring solutions to these problems and forum software is something I am already planning to pitch.

As implied in my previous message, I have noted the forum layout and I will push to get this changed because even I (as an enthusiast blog user) find it rather terrible. But it is something we can change and the sooner the better. So thank you Lyffe for reminding me of that.

Firstly, I’d like to start by saying I’m the new community manager for the forums and I’ve been reading a lot of your criticisms and making notes.

I’m Khalem, an assistant editor on AFM/ Combat Air and Air International. Along with an active Key Aero contributor who will be looking after the forum.

I can’t say I don’t agree with some of your comments regarding the forum’s layout and I will set out to change that as soon as possible.

Also, changing the passwords upon signing in was a security request as noted in the emails you were sent.

Please note that there is a category on the forum for issues etc which I will be monitoring and setting a thread up for CONSTRUCTIVE comments about how you would all like to see the thread.

We (and I especially) want the forum to be considerably more user friendly and we WILL be making changes to best suit you as per these comments.
