I know its been a while but developers have been working on the forum constantly to fix comments you have raised about the forum layout etc… I am expecting an update soon on what will occur in the future (regarding updates and forum fixes) and once I know, I’ll pass the information on to you all.

Apologies for my inactivity this week, I’ve been working on upcoming military magazine content. Bob – I can assure you the Key Aero banner did not knock me out haha?! I’m hoping to give you all an update as soon as I get it, work has been happening behind-the-scenes but I’ve been busy with other work. I get you’re frustrated and Key are working to rectify as many problems raised by your comments as we can. Developers are working on fixes but unfortunately it can’t happen overnight.

Hi Laurence – I’ve read through your posts and have noted some of the things mentioned which I’ll pass on to developers.

Thanks for your comments but unfortunately I can only do so much. I am echoing your comments to developers and they know what areas need attention quicker than others and those updates are coming. 

Also I didn’t expect any backlash from typing ‘lol’ – LOL! – I was simply trying to make light of a negative situation (apparently that seemingly offended some users) but you can win with everyone.

I’m hoping to be back in the near future with an update on when the next tranche will come. I know lots of you are unhappy, I respect that (you’ve all put a lot of time and effort into this forum) and I’ll continue to do my job as the ‘go-between’ with users and Key. I have noticed more threads popping up and replies are building on other more-aviation based threads, something which may not be at the level of regularity as the previous setup, that was expected from the migration, but its building back up – slowly but hopefully shortly.

Just to address some comments.

Thanks for the acknowledgements but the real thanks goes to you all. The amount you’ve contributed over the years and the wealth of knowledge you have shared on this forum is amazing! 

TexanTomcat2 – I’ll pass that onto developers. I’ve had some trouble uploading pictures myself.

You’re absolutely right and we’re working to sort the format into something that works for users, where they are continuing threads about aviation and not about how terrible the forum is. You have all been heard! 🙂

D1566 – There was a small update, more will happen. Not overnight but over the course of the next month or so there’ll be a lot more changes (as per user comments).

Trolley Aux – DX Diary didn’t migrate across properly and developers are onto getting that back ASAP.

As you’ve all noted, yes there’s more to do. But its underway and will come in tranches. Kind of like Typhoon upgrades if you’re up on that??? Bearing in mind we are only one (and a bit) weeks into the start of this new forum, not every account has migrated across and yes some people aren’t posting because of the format, there’s a lot of factors. But its not my place to comment on user posting because its up to them. 

Jeepman – I’ve noted making it easier to see the recent posts and I believe its on the developers list of things to do. Watch this space.

I’ll update the forum when the next update is due and what is expected to change with it.
