..barfing in the cockpit afterwards. Of course it was generally the amount oif beer we had drunk and when that did occur it didn’t half p**s off the ground crew and the CO. It took hours for someone to clear it up.

Naturally the adj would give us a bit of a dressing down and we’d find some transport and pile off to the Mess to celebrate.

Good job we had a decent sense of humour as you could imagine our surprise when arriving at the mess one day we found ‘Patty’ Patterson practising his Morris dancing.

He had all the right gear on and…………

….. and if you can’t cover them up, for God’s sake do something else! We can’t have a repetition of the dreadful incident with the 48th Foot and Mouth’s kilts in the Kyber Pass where……..
