OK, a question that is probably at the back (or front)of many of our minds…
Does anybody know what it booked for Flying Legends, it cropped up amongst the Southend Catalina thread and probably deserves one of its own! We are all aware that the good people of the Fighter Collection like to keep the more exotic aircraft a suprise, to keep us guessing and to prevent dissapointment, a wise move all in all 🙂 . That said, is there any info out there about which of the more familliar ‘acts’ will be flying? As was pointed out on the other thread, by now there would normally be a list of provisional flying visitors plus a hint about ‘something completely different 🙂 etc…
This is in no way meant to be a complaint, just curiosity 😀

Hi folks
just received an e-mail from a Dutch friend:
Dutch Spitfire MK732 flew for the first time since almost two years because of propelor problems. As far as I know its coming to legends, where during that weekend the pilots are going for there display autorisation.
The support aircraft they are bringing is either the Beaver ore the Beech 18.
Best regards
Martin / Swiss Mustangs
Great news!

Even more interesting seeing as SHF’s aircraft is Old Crow 😀

Does the “Flightline UK” list only contain the flying aircraft? Is there another list for static ones? It’s dangerous, this flying lark. They’re safer on the ground.
Its the same list, S=static, F= flying

Interesting, be nice to see the SHF one again, I take it has an engine now. Is OFMC’s a runner again now, always seems to have the cowlings off whenever I see it.

Of course I care. Why wouldn’t I

There are 5 booked for RIAT, I would have thought TFC could manage similar for Legends.
5 for RIAT??? I wonder where they are getting all of those from. Any ideas as to whose Mustangs will be there?

They are all to fly in the 50 minute D-day tribute that wil close each days show. I reckon that there will only be 4 though as one will be flown as part of the “heritage Flight” with an F15 and they always borrow a UK example. Could be wrong – it has been known – occasionally!
By: Chipmunk Carol - 24th June 2004 at 08:53
Any particular reason?

Reasons are airshow bookings and operational requirements. Plus of course the number of Mustangs available. Mind you, at least we won’t have fake Mustangs like last year…
