I was there that day,and always thought it was pete jarvis.
Could be wrong though.
TFCs FG-1D Bu. No 88297 has still got fabric outer wing panels.
One of only a few flying that still has, many being skinned over with metal.
Its 1850 squadron Fleet Air Arm scheme has the serial KD345,it should in fact be KD545 for 130/A but this was found out only after we had painted her.
The aircraft never flew with the FAA.
Got one from Fish re youtube
Nice pictures.
Love one of the foot wells.
Never knew the hurricane had fitted carpet.
Nice paint scheme as well.
Glad its not in that awful shade of Dark Earth thats appeared of late.:)
Kev
So glad the piece of paper was found whilst i helped my parents move.
For many years as a child this armour plate sat at home.
Had no idea i would ever see it again

I never noticed before until someone on here pointed it out, but TFC Spitfire XIV MV293/G-SPIT has a MkXVIII rudder….
Correct.
There is a modification post war that introduces the larger rudder, and that is incorporated on G-SPIT.
Post war modifications on the Spitfire are extensive and on a modern restoration must be embodied to CAA requirements.
The F4U-4 that normally comes to legends, was sold to the USA.
It is now with Tom freidkin.
The F4U-5 that has F4U-7 cowlings and markings is now as far as im told Grounded and up for sale.
There is another F4U-5 in france, but its pilot will be bringing the P-40.
There is also the F4U-4 with red bull in Austria.
TFCs Corsair is the only one at Legends this year.
Whos says they got rid of all of them?
TFCs chief pilot is to do the test flight so im told.
TFC also has a pilot from ETPS
If I may say, that tail band looks a touch on the wide side. 😉
Mark
Thats what i thought.
Someones research is very poor.;)
No prize!!
It will be plastered all over here soon enough.
You were close in your first guess though.:D
Well ur out of luck.
it was suggusted early on but its not 208 sqn.
So they got the aircrafts type wrong and spelt the guys name incorrectly.
Says a lot.
SM969 is a F.XVIII not an FR.
