Other countries normally don’t do such things. IF they do then it’s cleared by the country, in which case it’s not a violation.
It depends on the situation.
The Atlantique incident when IAF Shot-down a Pakistani plane allegedly violating Indian air space. Shortly after the Kargil War.
A few months back Indian helicopter was forced to land in Pakistan amidst bad weather, crew and chopper returned.
Syria is preparing for an invasion so can’t really blame them.
Not the current Turkish government. They just accepted the apology and apparently the Pilots are safe so no action unless further provocation I guess.
Makes me wonder may whether Syria’s AD Network is going to cause more problems in case of a western invasion.
dumb bombs should all be destroyed.
Buy F 35
Unfortunately I must completely agree here. Today’s Chinese culture is – like everything else – just a cheap rip-off of Western culture. Your kids wear Nike and other western apparel, your teens try to look like gangsta rappers and your millionaires dress up in Gucci and Prada. Your guys have westernized names like Kevin or Ben, partially to become recognizeable, partially to look pathetically cool. Your ads are full of European models, your cities are full of amazing buildings projected and built by Europeans, your best companies hire western managers and marketers and the most recognized successes of your industry and copied French bullet trains, copied German luxury cars, copied Russian fighters or spacecraft.
China has sold their amazing traditional culture for a pathetic knock-off of USA and Europe which suits you like a perfect Armani suit cut three sizes bigger. Despite of recent economic rise, one has to ask, is there really that much to be proud of?
I’m still waiting that you offer the world some own ideas and concepts.. That alone gains you what you still completely miss – and that is respect
Now I am not a fan of the way China does things but you really cannot blame them for a problem that is basically your own making.
Some people say its the popular western culture that won the Cold War, the West’s biggest weapon is its movies, music, art and culture which is invariably copied by emerging economies.
The second issue is when a people try to keep their own culture however unfair it may seem to western educated people like you and me, they are ridiculed. So the Arabs are criticized for treatment of women, Afghans for that their hatred to certain sports. Indians for their weird customs etc.
I cannot blame China or any country for holding onto its roots when there is a constant attack by west on eastern values and belief systems.
I really want to take a ride in your time machine.
What about Le French
Different class helicopters as well Dhruv is more powerful and twin engined. When in service the LUH will be Z 11s analogue.
In the case of India i would like to see a reduction in the number of types being used. I will scrap the MRCA and order Gripens and as part of the deal will lease or purchase older models from Swedes to replace Mirage 2000 and Mig 27 (after canceling the Mirage upgrade deal). This will prove more expensive now but in near future this will allow us to have just four fighter types namely Gripen, Su 30, FGFA and Tejas. Then slowly replace Su 30s with more FGFA/AMCA and the Gripens with Tejas Mk3.
By 2040 just 3 fighter types 🙂
Without a doubt ! Now, add a 0.5 meter (some say 1 meter) plug aft of the cockpit and remove the second seat to make it a single seat NP-2.
Completly disagree. This is the ugliest Tejas ever, and many here and in BR agree with me. The thing is out of proportion.
How likely are the U.S to sell India these systems, I guess this will be the governments excuse to sign the pending alliance treaties with the U.S.
In the last contest, Swerve won the contest and received a prize (actually some one else beat him but Swerve was the runner up). If you’re lucky maybe he’ll show what it was
Part 2.. Predict the winners for these contests:
Brazil FX2: (Super Hornet, Rafale, Gripen, Su-35?)
Indian Helo: (Ch-47, Mi-26)
Indian Transport: C-27, C-295, Il-112
Indian SARS: Shin meiwa US-2, Beriev Be 200, Bomberman 415
Malaysian MMRCA: (Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen, Super Hornet, maybe some Russian type)
Swiss AF: (is it really Gripen or will Rafale come out of nowhere?)
Korean FX: Eurofighter, F-15, F-35, others?
The first Su-35 export customer will be?winner will be the one who gets most of them right.
Brazil Rafale
Indian Helo CH 47
Indian Transport C 295
Malaysia Gripen
Swiss Gripen
Korea F 35
First Su 35 export customer : China
Why not an MKI with the next level of upgrades, like the Engines & Radar from the new Su 35 I am sure that can give any Eurocanard a run for its money.
And please tell me where you got the idea that MKI was beaten by the Typhoons.
If not the F 35 why not buy more Su 30s and wait for the FGFA. Logical decision.
So what happened after that? :rolleyes:the IAF has gone ahead and ordered Derby missiles for the Tejas. And the IN will almost surely order them for their N-LCAs as well.
Because the cheaper plane didn’t meet as many of the 643 parameters as the costlier ones did. Simple as that. The ranking was based on who met the most requirements and that left no scope for a less capable but cheaper airplane to be bought.
 because its a small issue not involving much money. The MRCA is definitely the big fish that CAG tend to catch always.
In India the Civilian government rules supreme and military whether Army IAF or Navy is not beyond the pressures felt by it. For example if a CAG report on MRCA gives the government headache in the parliament you can be rest assured that the MRCA will be cancelled or indefinitely put on hold.
Even an obscure M.P like Mysoora Reddy could put on hold the negotiating process with a simple allegation.
I really do think the money being ‘wasted’ on a soon to be obsolete fourth generation MRCA is best put to use elsewhere so I pray they find something wrong with the deal. May leave us vulnerable in the short term but its for the best in the long term.
