RB15 mk 3 can act as Anti-Ship and as Cruise missile.

Is there an air launched version of that ?

Pardon me i posted it because it looked incredibly stupid. I do not even know who the author of that chart is. But i guess people can add the right information about the respective fighters here. I see obligatory has already started.

EF seems to be a dark horse that i never really thought as a winner here, mostly due to its price and lack of upgrades/development in its home countries..

My assumption was based on the fact that MIG 29s of IAF have no problems in Leh. MIG 35 has higher thrust engines and hence should not have any problems clearing the trials.

Oh and my 3 shortlist comprising of Gripen, Super Hornet and Typhoon is based on the general mood of the PR guys in respective firms. Typhoon guys seem to be the most confident at this stage saying 60% chance of winning the deal, while SAAB executives are also certain their AC will make it to the next round. There is less noise coming from Dassault and LM (LM is even talking about selling F 35 to navy rather than abt F 16IN)

F 35 is a Strike Fighter. With Emphasis on Strike, still more capable in A2A than F 16s. A good compromise in todays world.

I wonder how short the short list is ? 4 or 3 ? Ideally should be 3 as there are originally six bidders.
