Nope but the F 16 is redundant if the JF 17 is as good. Especially because the F 16 comes with all sort of strings.

Not wing loading but the claim that Tejas is a better aerodynamic design. Ah can’t wait for the MK1 and MK2 to enter service, didn’t they confirm that the MK1 will be an 8G fighter compared to the Gripen which is a 9G fighter ?

rodynamics wise tejas is a more promising design, on account of its unbeleivably low wing loading.

    delusion.

Its funny that while the losers of the deal have kept their mouth shut about corruption and lauded the thorough process of evaluation, the French have already started crying corruption despite their fighter still being in the competiton.

No wonder Rafale has no exports to date.

They would know (they have to know – it’s a requirement of them being employed) that if someone from head office tells them to transfer controlled information out of the country, or reveal it to an unauthorised person (e.g. someone from head office) they (1) have to refuse, & (2) immediately inform the authorities.

Do you think many employees wont do that for a safe haven and many millions of dollars ?

What if its a small British firm acquired and after transfering operations to the new country they packup the office in the parent country, not wanting to do business there but taking all the technology/blueprints etc to the new country ? Surely money talks and the government would be powerless to harm the new management based in another country, especially if they decide they don’t want the UK Market.

I think this is one of the reasons why India don’t allow more thana fixed % of FDI in its defense firms.

Can the MICA be integrated into the Typhoon if India pays for it ?

Your argument on that has been contested by Rafale fans who still claim Rafale had RCS reduction from the early stages itself.

I think Europeans still haven’t woken up to shaped stealth there are no plans for any shaped stealth fighters.

Interesting point in it is that L1 will not be calculated over fly away and support costs but also lifetime operational costs.

So which among the two have lower operational costs ?

Will perspective future MLU cost be taken into account ? If so the Mirage deal could adversley affect Rafales chances ?

So in a way you are suggesting that the proposed uprated M-88 will force changes to the Rafale’s intakes ?

When the IAF gets either the Typhoon/Rafale its sure going to go up against the upgraded Su30MKI on DACT. Then one will know (like the Mirage vs MiG29 exercise) which one does better.

    Who said they don’t?

    Nic

So why would they not rely on their improved passive sensors ? like the Eurocanards ? Or use their bigger EW pods to jam the Meteor.

As if the MKI (esp with the coming upgrades) and the latest model F 15s dont carry EW gear and Defensive Aides of their own.
