that ACM comment didn’t hurt my feelings. it merely raised my eye brows and forced a re-assessement of the rogue behavior of world’s 4th largest airforce and by extension the instability south asian subcontinent.

Its called the Indian Sub Continent and not the South Asian sub-continent. Raise eye brows all you want on the instability, but India is preparing itself for a potential two-front war in which IAF will have a big role to play.

Four of the Six fighters in the MRCA, the Super Hornet, Rafale, Gripen & Typhoon all claim to have the lowest RCS amongst all fourth gen fighters. I know its classified but only one of it can be true.

Hurricane vs Spitfire, I remember watching discovery Wings where they said Hurricane because of the materials used for its construction was easier to maintain and could survive more hits.

happens all the time. they haven’t got any thekadari for honesty just because they are an international mag. if you have been reading stuff in the media for as long as I have you would be far more sceptical of believing things just because they say so. lobbying, advertisements do more than their fare share of deciding a magazine’s ’tilt’. that’s true for any magazine but especially for specialized ones like those in defence because ad revenues comes from a limited number of sources.

We are going around in Circles and hence I would like to bury the hatchet and make peace with you till the LCA FoC (by the time MRCA will be selected as well), then we shall revisit this argument again.

How about Economics of Scale ? Making lot of MKIs should make it cheaper than the Su 35 ? Piggy back on the Indian BARS upgrade/AESA and you get something nearly as capable as the Su35S ?
