    The thing is the first 3 prototypes have all had that configuration with only minor changes, so there’s a fair chance the final production version will still look a lot like it.:(

    Pity the new engine with flat nozzles won’t be ready till 2016. If they had started development on it back in 2005-6 when the PAK-FA was in the conception phase then it’d be flying with them by now…

    Whats the problem with the configuration?
    The fact that all 3 have an almost identical config is a good thing and shows it is viable and stable.

    I know …and no point in rebutting some of the “flaws”. Mind’s are already made up. I can’t wait though until this reaches the Indian defence forum, the comments will be priceless.

    The annoying thing is these things have been addressed 100 times on this forum alone, but some people….

    Care to point out just what is wrong with it. All the points made are factually correct. I’m sure my response i’m given will consist of little more than thinly veiled abuse though.

    A 5 year old child could spot the errors.
    Need S-ducts?
    Bare engine?

    What did you guys expect? Afterall the PAK-FA is a heavily modified Flanker. Theres only so much Sukhoi can do with it.

    Either back up that statement, or admit you are full of it.

    Then again, F-22 is only a modified F-15.

    If I was the Chinese, I would be a little more concerned with their own program, like making engines. :p

    Where does it say it is replacing the first one? They are getting the second one enhanced, but nothing about replacing the first one.

    Wrong! People have been saying this for the best part of a decade but truth be told no one has the courage or might to confront Iran. They will gain their nuclear weapons they’ve been longing for and then the world will be faced with nuclear war when the Jihadists in charge attempt to cleanse the earth of the jewish folk as they’ve been saying they are going to.
    I for one would much prefer we get this over with now and flatten Iran rather than waiting for a nuclear war in 5 or 10 years time.

    I am sorry to break it to you but no one is stopping Iran’s nuclear program, nor flattening it.

    You really think that Russia can get that many bombers into the air at once and you think they have 2400 cruise missiles that actually work? You’re having a laugh. It’d lucky if they got 15 bombers and 100 cruise missiles off the ground at best case. No doubt they’d loose a strategic bomber or two aswell like in the Georgia conflict. Thats a terrible cartoon btw.

    Anyways if Russia wanted to keep anyone from Syria, it could do so easily. Place several SAM batallions under the guise of protecting the Naval base. Station several large surface combatants @ Tartus. Nobody is going to touch Syria then. Ofc, this isn’t going to happen.
