Nope. Keep in mind these are not the T2 model; those will arrive later. These new ones have modernized on-board systems, I guess engines are not a priority. T2 does have modified engines.

Jamming drones is proven to be possible. Iranians have had plenty time to study US drones. For example, Iran might have had systems to detect US system, but not until now the means to do it.

Jamming yeah ofc. Its more the landing in such good shape that I find shocking.

What system do they have that can hack into and take control of the UAV?

It just seems like a fantasy capability to me.
Then again that would be a hell of an auto landing.

Congratz to Iran if UAV is the real deal. I wonder what brought it down was Chinese, Russian or Iranian system.

Somehow I doubt it was any of their systems, probably the thing itself glitched.
The only intriguing thing they have is those new Russian ECM systems, but I’m not so sure that could have caused the thing to land. Unless link with command was disrupted, and the drone auto landed.

To detect something at that range it has to be an airliner at 40.000 feet+ by the curvature of the globe at least. Against low-level strikers the S-400 is limited to ~20 km practical range similar a 9K40 BUK-M2. A S-400 is more a “strategic system” against related targets and just too expensive for fighter-size targets in general. In short without a related network and the main task to defend a key area it is a waste of money.

S-400 can plant its radar on high masts though, giving it a longer horizon reach than Buk.

As stated above it was not just inside of Norwegian EEZ, we also had to shut down helicopter trafic to and from the oil rigs due to the Russian activity. They were interfering with civilian activity in a manner that is not acceptable.

I find it strange that you seem to defend such behavior. Why?

American carrier groups and naval forces in general never snoop around and in other nations waters. Yeeeep.
Let’s not make this bigger than it is.

F-35 would be unnecessary, given intention to go PAK-FA and AMCA.

Instead, accelerate Tejas Mk2, increase order for it, order another batch of 40 Su-30s directly from Irkut/accelerate HAL production, whatever is faster, and put the remainder into AMCA.

They have the assets to get a fix on the radar/radars at least. A threat to Sweden from a S-300/400 would be in Kaliningrad. I guess you could get coordinates from a covert op on the ground for the SAMs.

Covert ops in one of the most militarized parts of Russia (there is a reason S-400 is being placed there), on a particularly mobile missile system?

Difficult.

Let alone .1m2 Gripen on a strike package necessitating external ARM, likely A2A, and fuel stores.
