Russia and Azerbaijan have good relationship, hell they even sold them Favorit recently. IF anything Russian relations with both nations just decrease the likelihood of conflict in the area, though I am not sure as to actual Azeri intentions in regards to Armenia.
What is curios is they ordered both Mi-35M and this hideous South African upgrade….needless fleet splitting IMO. Does the front seater have ANY visibility with that installation ? 😮
Now that is great news, if the entire fleet is actually overhauled. I thought the SM upgrade would run its course in the next 2 years. Any firm details on Su-25SM3? Hopefully it builds on Su-25SM, that upgrade is relatively modest.
On the other hand, the modesty means the funding and pace of the upgrade is more likely to be adequate.
NPP Polet won a tender to make the onboard communications complex of the An-70. Contract was signed with Antonov this month, sum was 90 million roubles.
