Teer: Do you mean in the context of the Super MKI, the integration of the new Russian jammers with the DARE suit?

If they end up on the Su-35C, the Su-30SM and the Su-34 that is a sizable market indeed.

I am not sure if the Su-34 is even fitted with SAP-518, it seems to have its own EW complex going on. We will see what the future holds.

Interesting photo. You can see the tail strengthener added, as a result of the fleet wide grounding due to structural weakness a few years back.

Realy? And how much service life (flight hours) does it have?

Well, maybe they are talking about 80s level Al-31, not all that impressive or incredible to improve on that in some way.

I do find it a little humorous though that the posters here were adamant how unlikely it was any more engines would be ordered from Russia and suddenly…boom. An order for 123 Al-31s from Russia.

Well if Venezuelan reports are to be believed, most of those don’t even fly. Could be lack of spares, but I am sure the conditions don’t help.

what are you talking about.. India and Malaysia did have some problems but they solved it faster than Venezuela did. and the problem is Rosorobonexport.. and no just because I said the problem is Rosorobonexport doesn’t mean I’m anti Russian.

but yes..they shouldn’t have this much problems because they could go to China for help.. they do after all use the same Flanker and make many flanker parts :diablo:

The Malaysian problems were refuted though, as were those fantasy claims that they were going to China for help with the aircraft. Not saying the supply process has been complete smooth of course…but truth is always somewhere in between.

regarding Venezuelan repair facilities- going from what some Knappo guys have written on forums – the facilities are horrific for modern combat aircraft.

I really don’t want to keep going OT, not a land discussion forum after all. Has a unique hull too btw 😉
