Production of AI-222-25 starts @ Omsk.
Intersting photo of Su-33, from training on the Kuz in 2011. Look at the OLS installation- guess it was replaced during the recent modernization?
Alright let’s get back on topic, mkay.
Russia does not have 53 Il-78.
Can you link the original? I cannot seem to find it.
What kind of offset do they want in this contract? All the work is taking place in India anyways.
Very cool. Ka-52 on Admiral Kulakov.

How was the Su-15 a failure in reality?

MAKS 2011: Klimov-powered Version of Mi-38 Makes a Debut
Nice! Will improve chances of MOD ordering it massively.
Good post!
That many J-7?? Still!?! Are all of those actually regularly flying/airworthy?
I think they would do well to gut that number considerably.
Super-30 sounds great, but how will they deal with the Flankers rather large RCS profile? With all this talk about “bringing it up on fith gen level” I assume they intend to deal with this in one way or another?
Simple radar blockers like Super Hornet, or something more exotic like internal weapon bays? (or stealthy external pods).
Flanker received RCS reduction way back, it is nothing new. Su-35 already has these measures included, to what extent, I do not know.

Stealth this does not make it, but certainly afford a reduction in signature. RAM application to an extent, cockpit treatment, radar treatment are probably the most likely measures. I am not aware of any plan to actually treat in service A2A missiles with RAM (in either Russia or India), but that has been done experimentally.
Fair idea but it maybe that super-30 is designed to leapfrog Su-35. We don’t know. However would it be so bad to have less two seaters?
Unlikely, if anything it is getting it as close to Su-35 standard as viable.
Like Teer said, changing to Su-35 production would be needless delay.

Bulava successfully launched!
So…is it not? Have the brilliant French discovered something no one else is aware of, in regards to radar size and detection ability?
