Wow, twower does a huge superb report on Mi-28N at Torzhok. This guy delivers!
These are some of the first examples, delivered as early as 8 years back.
“На данный момент милевцы разработали более просторную кабину, т.к. в нынешней штурману просто тесно. В новой кабине поставлены практически все те же приборы, что и у командира, но они скомпонованы более удобно, теперь не нужно шарить глазами по сторонам, чтобы найти их. У штурмана наконец-то появится ручка управления машиной, которой нет на нынешних версиях.”
Mil has made a new cockpit for the weapons officer since those examples were delivered, more spacious, better layout, and a flight stick.

Not very promising for India.
That’s assuming that Douglass Barrie fellow actually knows what he is talking about. His comments throughout the article are generally not groundbreaking in any way.
I think there are many bright lights. Helicopters for one, orders and production look very healthy.
He didn’t even write a single word about Su-35 in his post. Don’t get so defensive. 🙂
By the way, 3 tons difference is quite a lot in my opinion. It cannot be explained only by avionics.
Nobody is defensive. I was stating facts.
EDIT: Blitzo already caught it.
The biggest change of the J-11B is one that almost everyone seems to overlook. There was a 700kg weight reduction from the Su-27SK, which was already the lightest flanker variant. One of the rare instances in aviation when an development fork managed to shed mass.
.
1.) the Su-35 is ligher than the SK.
2.) Given the replacement of legacy heavy Soviet electronics, that’s honestly not that impressive.
Are there any plans to add radar blockers in Su-35’s intakes?
No. But Sukhoi and associated groups did a lot of work in regards to Su-27 RCS reduction. Apparently some of that was integrated onto the Su-35, I am not sure what levels though.
New EW suit on the Su-35, as well as laser/launch warning detection.
New OLS.

Seriously, what a stupid thing to say.
Vechnaya pamyate letchikam.
There is another mission the Eurofighter is considerably better at.
Getting export orders.
yes, Ka-60 and RD-600 no more(c) till 2010
Why was RD-600 canned Flateric? If they intend to buy as many of them as claimed, would seem domestic engine would be good idea.
The ships in the pic are the Steregushy, Neutsrahsimy, and 610 is Nastoichivy.
Rafale isn’t getting anywhere close to Moscow, let alone ~200km away.
It is an excellent aircraft , better than any F-teens in AtoA , maybe on the par with a SU-35 in combat but inferior to the Rafale in every missions you can think of . Sorry to say (again) .
Cheers .
Quoted for delusions.
lol, did you also think m2000 was incomparably better than anything when it came out?
ARe you actually telling me you think Rafale (in any configuration) can make it undetected to Moscow? Dear lord…
