IAPO is a sort of one-trick pony – they made the Su-27UB – and it’s derivatives
Their only current Flanker product is the Su-30MK – in its I, M and A sub-types.
It’s a potent machine – but it’s the only Flanker that IAPO makes.
KnAAPO on the other hand has a much broader portfolio….
They made the Su-27, Su-33, Su-35 (the old one), Su-37 & Su-35UB,
They currently make the Su-27SM, Su-30MK (in K, V & MK2 sub-types) & Su-35S.

This is exactly why Irkut has been making a hard effort to diversify its product – MS-21, Yak-130, Be-200, etc.
