The Su-35s were delivered to them, but they barely fly. Still very much on the Su-27s.

I don’t think so, though the upgrade development could very well be included in the deal. I wonder if the new build MKIs will have anything trickle down from recent Flanker development though -i.e. new OLS, MAWS, whatever.

The Sukhoi deal is another story, but, for the tenth time, I think it is evident it was not a simple doubling of price for the same thing delivered. We donn’t know what weapons, specifics are part of the deal. Dollar inflation is another thing…

Like you said, India has choice today. Well, they still went for a massive PAk-FA commitment. IF Sukhoi screwed them over like some elements try to make it out, I don’t think this commitment would have happened.

In that case you are correct. There are many difficulties as a result of the 1990s era defense establishment hit taken by Russia, especially when many of the component factories are outside of the country. Tashkent plant (since we are on the subject of the il-76) is supposed to be in pretty miserable shape.
