Yes, it appears ArmA is going the Tom Clansy route. Oh well, i refuse to play such a poorly optimized game anyways.

It’s going to have phenomenal performance with that kind of thrust and reduced weight/drag compared to Flankers.

4 new Ka-52s sent to an airbase in the Far East. Flew directly from the Progress plant. Earlier, in February 2011, 4 Ka-52s were delivered to the Torzhok center. 30 Ka-52s will leave the production line before 2012; so far 12 examples have been completed, and another 10 are in various stages of completion.

Only a matter of time before the techology ends up in China’s hands.

What do you base this on? I would say there is zero chance Russian ICBM technology of today is going to end up in Chinese hands. Ever. The question is what they can do themselves.

Not really military related, but nevertheless, some helicopter related news:

-Progress is restarting Mi-34 production. UTair ordered 10 Mi-34C1 at HeliRussia 2011, the company also noted that depending on the service, future orders may amount to 50 of the type.

-The first foreign operator of the Mi-34C1 will be a French company, which ordered 2 of the type.

-This year Russia will deliver 15 Mi-17V-5 helicopters to India, out of the 80 ordered. Very high chance the follow on order for 59 more choppers will be placed soon.

-Russian Helicopters is finishing signing a contract with the Chinese Emergency Services for 30 Ка-32А11BC firefighting helicopters.

-Russian MCHS planning to buy 4 Ka-32A in 2011. Under recent re-organization MCHS plans to acquire 62 light helicopters and 123 medium variants.

Makes one wonder why the US abandoned MKV. It was designed to go after the decoys as well to improve the odds.

I thought the United States has no intention of intercepting Russia’s arsenal.
