yes. There were some studies done in the 90s ( I think, I have a military parade magazine somewhere with this) about using a light platform (yak-130, Mig-at, whatever) as opposed to heavier aircraft (su-25, A-10, Il-102, yes, THAT plane ) for CAS. More sorties, more airframes, more losses, though less % if I recall correctly.
I am not sure if recent experience has overturned those results. Either way, Yak-130 production for the next 5 years will be only for training, those L-39s are ancient.
