In this day and age having a big radar is not necessarily a huge advantage. SPECTRA or DASS will pick up the signals from a F15 / MKI radar much earlier than those radars will get a lock or even detect them, and they will do it accurately enough to shoot a Meteor up its radome.

    Nic

Thats not an oversimplification or anything.

Murky? It’s as clear as day with the J-15. It is theft, simple.

I agree and disagree at the same time. They certainly built a new M and M2, but like most aircraft, there’s no production line and dedicated tooling until it gets some serious orders. and right now only the Mig-29K has that. They may be related, but are still different aircraft. a 29-K with a different avionics suite probably likely (if its sold to begin with).

MiG-29K and MiG-29M today have the same avionics. The production line is extremely similar.

yes, pointing out China’s theft is clearly all about making us feel better. What is telling is how you can’t accept that.

As for the rest, yes, you are correct, this thread was bullocks from the start.

Some people would criticize the PPP approach….I think in terms of fighter numbers (or military at all) China will not be competing with the US by 2020. I don’t buy the hype :p

    But yes, OT.

That example is unpainted- well, lacking in Air Force colors of any sort.

    EDIT: little photo:

    EDIT number 2:
There is an idea that the new 16 Su-27SM and Su-30M2 recently delivered might be modernized in the future-specifically their radar sets. Given their expected lifetime, logical IMO.

don’t waste your time, they found the probe lol, fanboyos wishes can’t fight facts! 😉

What facts? That RCS reduction is but an afterthought in the general Rafale design? If not, wow, they are seriously behind true low RCS airframes.

Not sure if anybody picked up on this but the Indian Navy has indefinitely postponed any further Aircraft Carriers after the current two. So it looks like the Indian Navy will stick with its Stobar Mig-29K’s for some time. The possible Naval aspect of MMRCA has probably now disappeared

    Wow, when did this happen?

n the Sino-Russian relationship, its China that pulls the leash. There’s little Russia can do about it really. Most Chinese are probably fine with the idea of China breaking up the relation and annexing Siberia.

Yeah, thats just nonsense. Sorry. Nobody pull’s each other’s leash in that relationship.

Don’t get me started on the Siberia thing, thats some mp.net level drivel. If that is what the majority of the Chinese believe, good for them. They are retarded.

Hopefully Russia just raised natural resource export price to China as a response for such disgusting infringement on intellectual property.
