Not to mention putting the kind of funds needed to reactivate that bucket would be senseless unless modern systems were substituted for legacy systems- a process heavy in both time and money.

So, in principle the 3 currently operational Slavas will be hold while trying to resurrect the Nakhimov and the Ushavov while keeping the Veliky healthy, bringing a fleet of 6 cruisers (3 Kirov + 3 Slava).

I think 3 1164s and 2 1144s is more likely. I have good faith that the Nakhmiov will be brought back, but the other ships have had no work at all, nuclear reactor would have to be refueled, the time frame for the Lazarev and Ushakov would be past 2020 I think…

The 1164s do not need to be restored, the 3 active ships are in good condition. The Ukraina will remain scrap, and thankfully so.

Let’s not get ahead ourselves on the 1144s, so far the Nakhimov seems to be a serious project, the Lazarev and Ushakov are in far worse shape. Curiously though, the scrapping of the Ushakov hull has been ceased.

In several days, the AF will recieve 5 new Yak-130s.
