Are you comparing the cost of a MKI with a Super Hornet, you do realise that the price of Su-30MKI has gone up in recent years – it was reported in the Indian media that the latest batch of MKIs was just under a 100 million USD a piece – how much is an SH?
Also overall life cycle costs of the F/A-18E could in fact be a lot lower than that of the Su-30MKI, who knows?:confused:

The price of the new Su-30MKIs is pretty obviously tied in to what they are buying alongside them/future modernization. Trusting Indian media is like shooting yourself in the foot.

So how many versions of the basic Su-27 are in service – Su-27, Su-27SM Su-30, Su-30MK2, perhaps include Su-34. How many different avionic fits are there on the Su-24, Su-25, MiG-29?
