No, you just keep banging your head against the wall because the concept of 5 radars on the PAK-FA really makes you feel threatened for reasons I don’t quite get.

You don’t think an aircraft that will be produced in 3 very different variants, one being VTOL, with an EO DAS, HMD and onboard EW suite developed from the AN/ALR-94 is more complex than the PAK-FA? Tell me you’re kidding? You must be.

Its all very well coming up with the no funding excuse but funding doesn’t appear to be the issue with the PAK-FA, as was noted earlier there are problems that are causing delays hence it’s going to be produced very very slowly with only 10 in the next 4 – 6 years.

I really hope the PAK-FA can get back on track like the spotless F-35 team. Or the mere 13 years it took for the first production raptors to be delivered.

but I personally think its more akin to
AV-8B vs Sea Harrier. similar origins, two very different paths.

Has any authoritative figure actually made the SU-30 > MKI comparison for the PAK-FA > FGFA? I find it completely inaccurate.

It’ll more likely than not slow and complicate the process for both parties.

Not to rag on Ilyushin’s safety record, but they built far less planes than Tupolev did in the same time frame. More planes, more chance something goes wrong.
