I’m sure I read a book (Fly For Your Life?) in which a pre-war visit of Luftwaffe oficers to an RAF fighter base took place. The pilots and groundcrew were told not to show them the then new secret reflector gunsights and avoid any conversation about them. On the day of the visit they were stunned when a senior officer invited them to sit in a cockpit and described the thing in detail…
The Noratlas/Boxcar was actually a C-119 Packet which left North Weald in bits. However the cockpit section was rescued by the Wings Museum in Sussex. More details here

As I understand it, the original plan for the Bev to become a kind of B&B (Blackburn and Beverley? 🙂 ) fell through after the buyer couldn’t raise the funds to move it, and has instead donated it to the museum.
This organisation might have something, or could point you in the right direction?
Despite the plethora of replica Mustangs, Spitfires et al, TV959 is thus far the only example of the acknowledgement of extant replica and original
The discarded material from the restoration of Spit XVI TD248 G-OXVI was used by the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation museum to construct a replica of the same aircraft, acknowledging that it is a replica, much as Mark P. proposes with his DH Moth
Appears to be a Wright Model A, haven’t found any other images of one with a number 8 on the rudder but seven were built by the brothers, and more were built under licence, including up to 60 in Germany
I wouldn’t know who to contact there but presumably the RAF Museum must have information gathered during their restoration of N9899?
I would also suggest Solent Sky might have something in their archives
Same here. Though I can deselect it, it is very irritating as you say. (Adblock user)
The Shuttleworth Comet G-ACSS has 2 Gipsy Six series 2 engines according to the CAA G-INFO website
I believe Hawk Speed 6 G-ADGP is now owned by the Shuttleworth Trust.
WIX appears to be sorted now, I’ve been able to access the forum for 3 days now without any problems. Perhaps the wind changed direction or something…
Sewerby Hall in Bridlington has a very good display of Amy artefacts and information due to her Yorkshire origins, perhaps it’s worth contacting them?

I posted on WIX a while ago about the problem, but have only had responses from people with workarounds (VPN or changing the DNS) and no explanation as yet from the boss. My U.S. VPN is still working but it’s a pain to have to keep using it.
Was it this?
BRISTOL 156 BEAUFIGHTER – Flight Manuals (flight-manuals-online.com)
I suspect these on-line manuals are not what you want, but may be of interest to other Beau fans?
Good luck with the restoration, after the Tempest it’s the warbird I would most love to see in the air.
