Laharve,
The two seat Spitfire In your selection is actually MJ772. This was one of the first historic aircraft that Sir William Roberts kept at Strathallan. It was sold in the US but now is in Germany. It was used in the BoB film when registered G-AVAV, but I think that’s it’s only “link” with Duxford.

No maybe about it Moze – strewth that was quick! :applause:

Thanks for that comprehensive update – all very positive, you’ve certainly been busy. I’m looking forward to visiting some time in 2014.

Many of us have provided funding for this initiative and it’s heartening that things seem to be going well – thanks Jon for the occasional updates. It’s quite a while since any photos were posted, it would be nice to see some recent ones of the old girl. Hoping you can get her on her legs by the end of this year 🙂

No. 68 is Copenhagen as shown in the following link

Photos 2 & 7 show the same vehicle aboard B.170 but with differently branded ramps – one set just shows SCAL the other set is marked with the full airline name. Certainly different occasions, maybe out and return or out and destination?

Is this a Letov S-14?

I think it is a Bloch MB.300 Pacifique.

P.S. I have now found an uncensored version of that photo – see:

Would it be reasonable to deduce that an ‘open house’ situation now prevails?
Sorry, yes please go ahead – haven’t had time to offer one up. 🙂

A nice old boy who ran an excellent little museum at Moreton in the Marsh.
He was an ex-Wellington aircrewman and his affection for the type was obvious. I hope the museum continues in his memory.
Anon.
I seemed to recall from chatting to him that he was not aircrew – the attached provides some more details of his service as a tradesman: http://www.wellingtonaviation.org/docs/gvt.htm
The Wellington tail section which used to reside behind the gallery building at Gerry’s place was relocated to Stratford Armouries a few years back.

I always enjoyed Willip’s questions and contributions – sorry to hear this news.

Already covered here Dave:

I think it is the Compagnia Nazionale Aeronautica CNA-15. If you read the captions to the photo on the hosting site it identifies the subject and if you look into information about that aircraft manufacturer it fits. The aircraft is sitting below a banner identifying its maker too!

Another view of same aircraft and event here – placards may help.
