I thought that the term bomb aimer was used in favour of bombardier in UK and most of the Commonwealth?
Gloster Meteor probably heading Farnborough spotted over Blackwater 17:25 today. Was going quite slow.
It was the T7 which left CVT at 17.12
Interesting shot on UKAR. Too early to speculate but it shows white smoke from the left engine-. Speedy recovery Mnr De Bruyn…
The aircraft is fitted with a smoke system for displays so this kind of comment could be very misleading. Inappropriate to speculate at all not just too early!

It’s a Canadian registered Basler turbo conversion and is doing survey work. It was based in Eire for a while a few years back then spent time at Hurn before going on its travels to Africa and has now returned to Europe.

Well done Ben and all the crew.

It seems XA650 from Biggin hill is at duxford 3 mark 1 Spits On the Same airfield. 😀
XA650 eh – they kept that quiet – a restored Javalin! 😀
G-AGTM is alive and well; still giving many people experience of “real” flying and based with us at Classic Flight, Coventry. I took this view en route to a Kemble event.

More likely the former ZS-MRU which has been stored there for years:

Good detective work David. Let’s hope the duff entry that someone put on ASN which indicates wrongly that Mr Coates was involved in the EP-9 accident can be rectified.

The Foundation does a great job. That video is amazing and brought back happy memories of flying in the very same B-24 twelve years ago. 🙂

Verty sad – but already covered here: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=117272
This was indeed a sad loss of flight crew while conducting a role that must require great courage as well as skill. The loss of any life is of greater significance that any loss of machinery. In some cultures we just try to stay calm and show respect.
The Zero story has been mentioned before. The airframe, minus engine and instruments, is being conserved on a solid rig with a perspex frame to consolidate the parts. Whether it will be displayed at Duxford or South Lambeth remains to be seen.
… … … The wing sections, tail wheel etc have not been on display recently:
Maybe they’re with the Hermes fin and rudder. 😀

I think the Hurricane is Peter Vacher’s. Sad to see that the PBY in the Canadian forest has been covered in graffiti since I photographed it. This is an interesting compilation but a very cheeky lift of a lot of copyright material without any credit whatever.
