Three years ago I buried my favourite cat under the nose of my Spitfire, she was with me for over twenty years before she passed on.
    We were inseparable.
She only kept one secret from me and that was the hideyhole for her little yellow toy mouse.
I was moving furniture around this afternoon and found it tucked behind the hi-fi, along with two unopened packets of crisps and a pile of elastic bands.
She often helped herself to crisps and was able to open the packet and scoff the contents in a single sitting but, I never knew about her ‘hoard’.

    Funny things, cats

Three years later and I still miss her:(

As a seige weapon, probably the most terrifying weapon of its day. It meant you didn’t have to wait months to starve out the occupiers of the castle, you just hammered the walls down and charged through the hole. The French used to lob diseased animal carcases over the walls, which is probably the first use of biological weapons. Lastly, you didn’t need to transport them very far as they where made close by (nearest woods) and assembled next to the target.

    Great weapon
