Also, the cockpit on the Dornier is so far forward and low, you cannot see the trailing edge of the wing.

My cat alerting me to a CCTV monitor in the next room frazzleing itself to death, by racing in and out of the room like a demented idiot, then finally hiding behind me, staring at the doorway. Curious, I wonder into the lounge to find a monitor ‘glowing’ with its new wrinkley plastic casing.
Could have got expensive!
cheers ‘Nimrod’

Interesting, the fin flash has now returned to red/white/blue.
Which photos have been tinted?
‘Spitfire the history’ (completely destroyed one copy through wear and tear) ‘Gifts of war’ ‘Battle of Britain then and now’ (in fact any then and now) all of the ‘at war’ series by Ian Allen, anything with Andy Saunders stamped on it (except ‘The dungeons of Key Publishing’ ISBN 91223167121(!) not good if I’m honest) and agree with ‘the hardest day’:)
I was surprised at the German woman survivor say ‘they came in their planes and shot at us’………….and Shaw ‘…it [the raid]didn’t really accomplish much at all’
Is that a bit of the starboard fin of a Me110 in the 2nd photo??
She told me she married a fighter pilot who was killed early in the war, she then married a bomber pilot who was killed mid-war, then hooked up with Gibson shortly before the forming of 617. A real character.:)
Met her with an RAF entourage at RAF Halton May this year, still had a twinkle in her eye talking about Gibson:eek:
A BBC television programme has unearthed secret information about one of the best known stories of the Second World War
