    Daz

    You OK?

Those pens can be quite nasty with a pointy bit at one end.

You might want to dig out those boxing gloves to protect your hands…………oh, wait a mo, they’re in the cupboard under the stairs……….:D

    😀

Jon, it just showed a total lack of respect for the re-enactors, especially the Nazi’s:rolleyes:

I doubt it will happen (as an event) next year, people were too pi**ed off.

Money, cost me £110 to get it there and back, was promised electric hookup …er no, £20 petrol for generator.

There were other issues but I’m too fed up type them out:(

    All in all, total disaster

Took the Spitfire to a 3 day show over the weekend

    Worst show ever:(

The effort involved (mine) was immense, was put downwind of the very smelly turdis’s, the Army then pitched up and took the area in front of the Spitfire denying visibility, a worker came up to me on day 1 and thanked me for doing this for free (don’t remember that!), it rained all day 2, Day 3 collapsed into a shambles and the remainder packed up early.
The organiser watching me pack up went home 5 minutes before I left so he didn’t have to pay me the agreed mileage.

When we all turned up on Friday for the set up, myself and the re-enactors were told that private vehicles must be removed from the 1940s site so the area would remain in keeping with the various encampments built around the edge.

    OOOOHKAY………..

    ::rolleyes:

who remembers the JCB claiming 5 lives when the jib swung out, just up the road from me?

Ambulance head-on killing 3 lads in a small hatch just down the road.

Several major accidents on Spitfire Corner including several fatals, all motor bikes.

Recent biker colliding with Buzzard. (fatal)

Woman hit tree behind my gaff (fatal)

Woman clipped verge and rolled behind my gaff (seriously injured)

    All on rural roads.

Most late at night, some I hear the tyres then the crunch. I always report them to the Police. It is quite dangerous out there!
