not really, its just a choice between time. once in space, there is no friction forces to slow u down, so the slightest of propultion and u can get to vertially anywhere u want provided u have the time to wait.

well thats not a very good idea unless ur fighting WWIII, as those pieces will stay up there and u wont be able to use space no more until u can clean it all up someday.

u dont have to destroy the entire stallite to make it unless. some sort of none nuclear EMP weapon or direct energy weapon would be ideal. failing that, some micro-sats with some C4 attached would work equally well.

then again, u can always try viroses.
