There is nothing like a “come on Sens” here.
In 1982 the Syrians gave an official number of own losses.
How many pics of that have you seen so far?
Please no childish excuses. It is your claim. When I will take you seriously, both sides did not lost for thand a handfull of aircraft in 1982, the published number of pics in mind. πŸ˜€

Both sides have discrepancies, there are times when you can get a balanced view, a middle point of course you can get that, but some kills are not acknowledge by one of the warring sides niether are proven or confirmed with a picture either of a gun sight or a wreckage.

What most of people believe is mostly a single picture posted by an author will prove 20 or 100 kills, most of the time only if the side that lost the aircraft admits the kills then you can really confirm a lost without a picture

Off the coast of JoΓ»nie. Sea map gives area of -200>-2000 m depth. If you are intrested, you can hire a savalge ship to recover some parts of the wreckage on your own costs. πŸ˜‰

Come on Sens, i can say the same for all the kills claimed by the Syrians.

However to be fair you have to see that the vast majority of kills are just confirmed by the side claiming them.

The only way you can confirm them is either the other side accepts them or you have a picture and a report well documented.

For the Russians the only Syrian MiG-25 shot down by Israel were two, no more.
For Iraq in Gulf war I only 3; and another 3 or 4 in the Iran-Iraq war

man i can give you the same, names and dates, however these kills also are denied by Israel, so giving names and dates does not mean to have accuracy if the other side denies them unless you have pictures or film

Even it were that claims only? The problem is that such sites do not stick to first hand sources. They do recycle known information in their way to see the reality. There is no serious intrest into details, which do deny that. At least you do realize that sometimes.
The shared kill of the MiG-25R was between a F-15C of 106. sqn No 821 (Captain Saul Schwartz) with AIM-7 and “improved Hawk” 31/8/82. The Syrian did a mistake by doing their recce run over the area of Beyrouth in a regular fashion. When proper operated, that could have by done by inpunity by the MiG-25R as several times before, but at that day it fell into a well-planned ambush. πŸ˜‰

However where is the wreckage? why the russians claim it was just a hoax?

The video of such kill? by the way the Russians are not the only ones who rehash that material, in fact the only MiG-25s kills i have seen are on the ground

Surprise, surprise, even you do realize that your Russian source is sloppy, despite that you post the dubious claims.

It is sloppy because the original battles were in February 1981 and June 1981 and in these two battles according to some sources 2 MiG-25s were shot down, the israeli claim a third was bagged in June 1982, the last has been denied by the Russians

What does cold logic tell you about that event. An AIM-54 was fired by a frustated F-14 crew outside the performance envelope. There was/is a rivalery between the USAF and USN crews. The few firing opportunities, when a Iraqi fighter showed up at all, were limited to the USAF at first. πŸ˜€
It did anger the “Tomcats”, that they did miss the few opportunities to fire the expensive AIM-54 against a real target, all that at time scale, when all were aware, it may have been the last chance to do so, before the “Tomcats” would go to retirement. It is much more to swallow by the “Tomcats”, that the Iranians did so before and do still operate F-14s. There is a reason, why the Irans do keep some F-14s still keep going, when the USA did all to prevent the surplus flow of spare parts after the retirement of the F-14s in US-service. πŸ˜€

    Sens

with perspective you will see that the MiG-25 was a real threat during the 1970s, 1980s and part of the 1990s.

The MiG-25 was built mostly in the early 1970s and still in the 1990s and even early years of the 21st century was a very elusive fighter.

Its missiles were good in the 1970s and regular in the 1980s.

By 1990 the MiG-31 replaced it.

Now seeing it into prespective you can understand the fighter was a dangerous opponent

I read delays about various aircraft projects. Every aircraft is unique in some sense but there is nothing unique about ARJ-21 for causing it to delay. Who is biggest avionics supplier anyway?
This thing has practically nothing to do with avionics.

    STAR49

Honestly why you want to underestimate the Chinese aviation industry? I am personally not against civil aviation and i think the dynamics of international globalization do not mean a single aircraft now is totally designed or built in a single country, much less a very advanced airliner or a civil aircraft that needs to meet very extrict safety parameters.

Even Boeing or Airbus can not do it in fact Airbus is an international program.
I suggest you instead of underestimating a civil program you should leave that attitude even despite other forum members also overestimate and even distort historical facts, you should simply not over critize what it seems to be an effort by the chinese to develop their country, and from my opinion the ARJ-21 is a good program and has nothing different from other civil aircraft programs

That’s a PD (=interceptor with radar). Since you can’t tell the versions apart I’m starting to doubt you ever got close to one, let alone fly it.

Using the PD in attack role and RB in interceptor? WTF?
That’s a wild claim, as far as I know nobody ever claimed something like this before, so you need to give a few more details.
Just how did they fit the radar in the metallic nose of the RB?
What particular type of AAM and radar was that?
What do you mean by limited succes?
How many RBs were modified that way?
What is the rationale of converting a precius recce asset into an interceptor, when you had plenty of interceptors and could have bought more from the Soviet Union?

When did you chase those Jordanian F-16 ? What year?

Why? airforce.ru has an article about the MiG-25BR and they wrote about the MiG-25 Iraqi deployment.

They say the MiG-25 was first bought as a recce aircraft and just later was turned into a bomber with MiG-25BRs,

The SR-71 had optimum range at M2.8-3.2 depending on various parameters. Therefore flying faster was more efficient. The MiG-25 was less optimized for those speeds and cruised comfortably at M2.35. Where it achieved the best specific range … I don’t know. I guess firebar with his unrestricted access to all Soviet documents will enlighten us.

Always remember: the MiG-25 handles like a spacecraft!

It did handle like a spacecraft, you might be kidding but it was a high flying aircraft.

However the manual says some specifics about the time it can spend flying at Mach 2.35, however it only mentions the MiG-23BR with bombs and heaveir the load less time it can fly, but i guess it will fly more without bombs

there is no such thing,,the only airforce in the world that have combat experince for a long time(years) is the IRAF ,,EVEN FROM SENIOR GUYS i never heard such a thing,,during the iran-iraq war i havent heard of a mach 3.2 which is the speed on paper that i havent seen or heard, and i tell you there is no situation in combat where it is so tempting to do that when your clearing the enemy airspace

Sorry for my skeptisim about your claims, however i know that if you are a MiG-25 pilot, you know the time that will take to a MiG-25BR to reach Mach 2.8, the MiG-25 manual is very specific about several facts.

First what is the minimun altitude for Mach 2, the MiG-25 has a specific altitude, since even at afterburner the MiG-25 won`t pass certain speeds at different altitudes, you must know it, and you must be aware of that since are facts a MiG-25 pilot knows, are facts that are a must to a MiG-25 pilot.

for example at 10000 meters there is a speed limit, what is that speed limit? at what altitute you can fly at Mach 2.35? what is the speed limit for altitutes below 5000 meters?

How many minutes you can fly at speeds of Mach 2.35? the manual is specific about those facts
