Does nobody appreciate classic beauty? F-16’s? Are you kidding me? They are so boring.
What about the mighty Rhino?
It’s big, powerful, ugly, and most importantly it just looks like it wants to kill you even sitting on the ramp…..
Or how about coming straight at you……:)
Awesome picture! 😮 i have to addmit that is a quit beautiful take
This is another MiG-23 picture i really enjoy
i do enjoy this one too

However i think camuflage it`s to an aircraft what make up is to a woman
for example i like this MiG-29 picture a lot
but i dislike this camuflage pattern displayed by this Polish MiG-29

See how big is a F-4 with respect the MiG-23

Small fighter, huge helicopter

Kovy,
Those M2k shots are waaay awesome 😮 . So far numero uno prize goes to you.
Regards,
USS.
The picture quality is the best i agree but personally i do not think the Mirage 2000 is the most beautiful aircraft among all the modern fighters
MiG-29 and F-15

To see the scale of the MiG-23
..Bloody Russians….. 😀 😀 Anyway, this is a case for “Mig-23MLD”, hope he sees this thread…. 😉
Believe me i have no clue about that bird, i am not so aware about that bird i hope one of my books give me the clue if not some one more knowledgeable
Hmmm…I`ve been googling this for an hour and found this…..
NAIC donates MiG-23 to AF Museum
In 1992, a Russian unit sold the MiG to a company in Finland for display purposes only. A U.S. citizen from Florida bought the jet from the Finnish company and imported it into the country, apparently hoping to fly the aircraft in air shows. Unfortunately, he brought the aircraft’s Gsh-23L 23 mm cannon into the country illegally and lost the gun and aircraft to the U.S. government after the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms seized them.

sourceI remember reading somewhere that those six Migs-23 were specially adapted for this international airbase visit. They removed they IRST, antennas, changed the nose cone,…etc. to disorientate aviation speciallists in the west. 😮
That MiG-23 really looks weird i do not information about it but it seems it has not the normal radome, it looks like a total mismatch
My favorites pictures of the MiG-23

No, you misunderstood me, this is trully remarkable photo serie of the Su-27 taken supposedly somewhere at the Groom test range during the RED FLAG excercises in 2004. But what amaze me most is that you folks believe that pictures were taken in Nevada, regardless how reliable the source is. Not to mention that similar webpages talk about UFOs and other crap. The really strange thing about it is that during RED FLAG excercises there are hundreds of uninvited quests spotting aircrafts and bringing thousands of F-15, F-16, A-6, C-130…. pictures but no one ever spotted the Su-27 near. Except this one rare ocasion taken at a distance of unbelievable 14 miles=22.5km . Geeez…..have you ever been spotting airplanes? How would you take a picture of something you have no chance to see and hear. The probability to take these pictures is equal to a miracle or it is a simple fake. Actually, I think those pictures were taken on an airshow with a cheap 35mm slide camera, then scanned to internet and vualá!….we see Su-27 at a distance of 14miles… 😀 😀
For these reasons, anyone who takes these pictures as genuine evidence for existence of the Su-27 in USAF should be called a “blind” believer.Martinez
I do not know about the authenticity of the pictures, it seems a Flanker, i agree with your point, but i do not think the Americans will hide a Su-27, they have flown it, fought it in mock combat so many times already that i find ilogic the statement that they keep it secret, i further agree with you because it is unlikely that a werbpage that talks about UFOs is the most reliable source nevertheless i do not think it is an impossibility they have one.
The main weakness i see in the position the US has one is simply the reports are basicly rumours or internet gossip and legends nothing concrete.
Since the MiG-29 is easily displayed in US museums i guess these weakens even further such reports.
HAHAHAHA… You are dead wrong mate! This pictures actually show Royal Malaysian Airforce (RMAF) MiG-29N and RAAF F/A-18A during Ops Churinga Excercise circa 1999 at Malaysia.Period
well this is the real deal

another

what you’ve been smoking Steve??? 😀
For sure, non of them were wired for nukes!!
Buddy, are there any photos of Migs your friend has been selling, I`d like to see them, thanks a lot!!
That is a nice comparison, although it needs further investigation…thanks
What you think of this?
This plane was spotted October 12, 2004, between the first and second session of Red Flag. Based on the size of the image, the plane is about 14 miles away. The top image is as the plane appeared on the color slide film, while the bottom image is the “red” channel (which turns the blue sky black) converted to gray scale.
The aircraft seems a Su-27 and i could say it is a Su-27 but what i do not understadn why you think right away it is an american one perhaps is russian or Ukranian
What part of “evaluation programs like this are secret” do you not understand?
Your problem is your inability to believe anything unless it’s published in the Russian press first.
Because you haven’t seen it in the Russian press.
No it is not only the Russian press but also the Western one, in fact the mock model that martinez shows seems there is not real Su-27
There is a need for secrecy in this cases also for protecting the (non-US) individuals involved. I don’t believe the FSB would send a chocolate box to the middle men from Ukraine or Belarus involved in the Su-27 business.
Think abouit the “Have Doughnut” program (MiG-21F-13 evaluation), which took place in 1968. Almost everything is declassified about it, EXCEPT the source of the MiG (rumored to be Indonesia or Israel)
Please the cold war is over and the MiG-29, F-15 and Su-27 are old enough to have many export restrictions eliminated, see even Pakistan can get F-16s and remeber that China can get a hand on those F-16s
The USSR “allowed” the GDR military equipment to fall into NATO hands? That’s a laugh. What were they going to do, bomb all of the GDR airbases?
If the FLANKER is still being evaluated, it’ll still be classified. Also you’re not taking into account that again, the Moldovan buy was public knowledge, and those are likely a lot of, if not all of, the MiG-29s on display.
Please SOC
The Flanker is not a secret, you are just justifying the lack of pictorial evidence of that aircraft by simple calling it as a secret dark program.
I have not said the aircraft might not have been bought by the US, but there is not enough evidence to prove the reality of such claims.
It is better to think there is not yet confirmed evidence of such adquisition by the US.
Gossips and sketchy reports prove nothing and without consisten evidence it`s credibility level is still in doubt.
The secrecy level you give to a fighter that is basicly a large MiG-29 is quit illogic, It is frankly illogic that the MiG-29 is even in Museums and the Su-27 has the secrecy of the Aurora
SOC reallly the lack of confirmed evidence is only proof there is still doubts about such event.
