I’ve got McAfee on this machine (using IE9) and it’s not blocking the forum or telling me it’ a suspect site.

That’s the image they are saying is a fake. In another photo just before the impact the tailwheel isn’t visible.
Take a look at images 2 & 6.
Tailwheel appears to be down.
As tragic as the accident was, it’s a miracle there was no explosion and subsequent fire, as there no doubt would have been a many more casualties.

Suspect CGI
When it comes to realistic CGI and aircraft, I don’t know why the big studios don’t hire the guy responsible for this: –

Yes, it’s a few years old now, but still the best I’ve seen.

I don’t know if you’ve already seen it, but here is the link to the official AAIB report into the accident involving the second Blenheim : –

That will hopefully answer your questions.
As for photos, you might want to keep an eye on the Duxford Update site.
Check the News & Links page for recent pictures of the current progress on the Blenheim.

That was Aviation News when it was in newspaper format – I got loads of them up in the loft, and they still make good reading! I still think no-one could display a Spitfire like Neil could. Late afternoon at Shuttleworth with the sun low down…. that curving display line… Neil Williams imparted style and grace to a display that truly I have seen from no-one else!
My Dad has always said the same after witnessing several of his displays at Old Warden in MH434.
Whilst Ray Hanna has, and will always will be regarded as the ‘Master’ of the Spitfire display, it would seem that many also thought Neil’s displays in them were on a par with Ray’s, but quite different.
Much more relaxed & gentle apparently, showing another side to the Spitfire and it’s performance and handling. I understand his displays often included some superb vertical rolls, something you very rarely see in a Spitfire display these days!
I wonder if anyone has any footage of one of his displays in a Spitfire, because other than him flying a sequence in MH434 for that classic 70’s Spitfire documentary, I don’t recall ever seeing any other film of him flying a Spitfire! 🙁

…and how do you paste a URL.?
One of two ways.
First is to look for the URL box which is under the users name and description of the video, and copy & paste it’s contents like this: –
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCrKDz8hH5E
The second is to do the same, but copy & paste what’s in the main address bar of your browser, like this : –
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCrKDz8hH5E
Either way should work.
Better still, if the forum software or whatever supports embedding, then you can of course copy what’s in the Embed box (under the URL box), so the video shows up like this: –
Hope this helps.

Baz – thanks for posting these pictures.
Was there any flying activity at the open day?
I had read that there were some helicopter pleasure flights taking place, but wondered if there was anyting else happening.
I was actually up on the Gibbett at Hindead this afternoon, and took a quick look through the binoculars at the airfield to see if I could see anything, but there didn’t appear to be much happening!
Anyway, looking forward to this years Wings & Wheels show, which sadly could be the last one and it will be interesting to see what the Government decides in September regarding the future of this unique airfield.
Like many, I’d hate to see it go. 🙁
