Thank God that you had stuff bought by people who actually THOUGHT about what to get you. After all the effort made this Christmas, I was unpleasantly surprised by the total lack of thought, and resultant crop of absolute ****, that I was given. Prime culprit was a bottle opener that sings ‘ere we go’.
I did, however, get one aviation related present, and a superb one at that. It had been bought in error (a sent out ‘book of the month’) by a friends mum; ‘Flight. A Hundred Years of Aviation.’ She kept it and gave it to me – a very nice present indeed.
Don’t get me wrong – Xmas is not about presents, it’s about the thought. I interpret that as being the thought behind them. And therefore, I am bloody annoyed.
However, I can honestly say that I have had the best Christmas in years this time. It was absolutely superb. From the 24th until this afternoon, it was truly great. Good company, good food, and good times. Roll on next year (when my brother will unwrap the same bottle opener.)
To Absent Friends.
How many tourists come to see the Queen? And how much do they spend?
And would you want to run around all the time shaking hands? I wouldn’t.

“Merry Christmas & a Happy new year to you all”
Umm, yeah.
There doesn’t usually seem to be much anymore. The odd beer covers you now and again. I must say that Steve Diggle spits incredibly well though.

I kept nibbling it. It wasn’t great though – a bit soggy around the croown. Unfortunately the victoria sponge I wore for the Damned last week had crumbled around the brim, so I was forced to compromise my flair.
