Don’t think it will do much good jeepman, they are too big to take any notice now . It’s only a false sense of loyalty that keeps me looking in now, as I used to find this forum great. Even the magazine FlyPast is a shadow of it’s former self and I’ve had it from issue one. Thinking of packing that up as well because it is all commercialised and lost it’s soul. I appreciate it is difficult in this computer age but it is all too flash and gimmicky now.
Yes it does look a bit Charles E Brown, and at that angle I can’t decide if it has extended wing tips in which case it could be a Mk VI. Just a thought.
At least it looks rebuildable and nobody was hurt.
Ok thanks for the clarification.
Would that be the same Norman Lees who was an engineer at the Fighter Collection?
Well if it’s anything to go by, the latest edition of FlyPast arrived through the post the other day so I would presume they are. Try emailing them to make sure?
Look forward to your film link Steve
Sorry I can’t remember that thread. Wonder if Mark12 still looks at the forum as he would be sure to know.
Try contacting Tom W if he is still on here he may have his number.
I saw it too, looks good, but then again what Spitfire doesn’t? The static one that Airframe Assemblies did in Russian colours looks a beaut too?.
She has flown!!
I will believe it when I see it, too many promises but no changes of any degree.
It certainly seems that way jeepman, plenty of time to have corrected the muck up. Lots of interesting folk not posting here anymore, all a crying shame that they’ve been so disillusioned that they felt compelled to leave.
I am still looking in every now and then, in the hope that there is an upturn , which I have yet to see. It is still a shadow of what it used to be, just wonder why Key cannot see that theirselves and do something about it .
A pity it is still unimproved to any extent from when it was b*****ed in the first place a few months back. Here’s hoping the New Year sees an great improvement ?? and some of the regular posters who have walked are enticed back. Incidentally all the best wishes to you all for the New Year.
Thanks ian, haven’t been in the Crown for years, must have a look. I was in the Abergavenny ATC for a few years, infact one of the original members when it first started. That was before they went aircraft hunting unfortunately.
