Comprehensive coverage on the main thread on all things Duxford.

Thank you Mike, never thought to look in the obvious place, but anyway it deserves a thread of it’s own.:highly_amused:

Graham and I discussed this at length. I have all our research and photos. In time it will happen. As Graham is a personal friend of Tim Davies he has a lot of MH434 material, including log books … just give me some time to get a very sour taste out of my mouth.

This is the book re MH434 I take it G-ORDY?

Yes go for it James, I’m interested but I’m a reader more than a writer so I’d not be of any use in it’s production sorry. Re the MH434 book, that Spitfire has always been a favourite so it would be really nice to see that become a reality.

So how far did the talk about doing a Hawker Survivors book get?. I was out all day and wondered why I couldn’t find the thread when I came back.

I tried biding on a Brown’s Brothers Aeronautical Cat. from the 1925-35 time frame. Lost out. Got in touch with the ‘kid’ who won it. Did not want to sell.
The information in this catalog is now lost on some bookshelf instead of being dispersed to the many individuals who are in need of research answers.

Ed, he obviously bought it for a reason, who’s to say that he won’t be using it for information like you would have?

Funny you should post this thread, I thought about buying that same book last year as it sounded good. I may get it if it’s good enough to read twice straight off.:)

Welcome Barry. It would be great, but I’m sure you would need an inexhaustible pile of money to achieve a Wellington rebuild/replica. Good luck with the idea, everyone should have a dream, I’m all for it.:eagerness:

The thread which everyone posts in, but nobody reads! There is a ground hog day quality.

I must admit I read it and have a look if it’s of any interest, I think it’s a great thread.

Hi Duxford ? The car park after the tank bank.

Yeah I’d have said Duxford too.

Lovely finds, well done and good luck with future attempts, hope it goes better with authorities next time. It’s nice to save these things instead of letting them disappear for ever.

Yep it wasn’t well advertised, I saw it by accident when looking for something else and being as I’m a bit of a sucker for that sort of stuff I got one ordered, it’s supposed to come next week. Fingers crossed.

Simon perhaps you should contact PPS and ask Tony Bianchi, he will be able to confirm yeah or nay.
