Great viewing, so pleased that he made it ok.Thanks for posting the link.
Yes I saw that CeBro,wonder if there is any substance in the story?
Bit like remembering MFFHHB,( mixture, fuel, flaps, hatches, harness, brakes), on the downwind.Heard one instructors way for students to not forget it was “My Friend Fred Has Hairy Balls”
He’s still at PPS as far as I know. You could give them a ring and find out.
I like that,very good.
It’s only an expensive mistake to the insurance company & everybody else policy next year.
Who is to say that he has hull insurance, for all you know he may only have third party liability and is financing the rebuild himself.
There was a P-40 and a Fairey Battle.
Dave
That’s interesting, never heard about those.Regarding the Spitfires,I have an old Wrecks and Relics from 1968 when it was done by Merseyside Aviation Society, and it listed two Mk 22’s as being on the firing range there.Perhaps these are the ones?

Yes,it was a fantastic day out,I took my 8 year old son with me and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well.I generally try to make it up to Old Warden a couple of times a year, but this was the only one that I managed this year and I am so glad that I did. This day would take some beating.Lovely to see the RE8 and Albatross flying and up close.

Thank you so much for your reply Easy Tiger,I’m pleased to hear that.I would be interested to see the pics too if you could post some. Many thanks again.
It may sound a flippant answer, but you should try it for yourself.
I don’t mean that in a condescending manner but it is impossible to describe how Hemorrhoidal a rebuild can be until you have done one.
It is not the big bits that cause the problems. It is the small bits that mount up and hold up the important bits for seemingly meaningless reasons. It is the people that promise something will be done and then don’t deliver blindly unaware of how that one little late delivery can hold up a lot of other things (heaven forbid that anyone rebuild something would have a plan that relied on things arriving on time! – I reckon I lost a whole year on the Rearwin just by having to wait stupid times for small things that wrecked the bigger plan)
I was once asked when my aeroplane was going to be ready and the answer was ‘Nine months, but they are not necessarily consecutive and I reserve the right for them all to be Decembers’.
It is a straightforward question and yes I have done a rebuild myself,so I appreciate fully what is involved.THe question has no hidden agenda,it mean’t exactly what was asked i.e. how is it coming along?.Hope this clears up any misconceptions.
Yes I have noticed that, wonder why?
