Thanks for those David,I particularly liked the Fairey one, nice angle and nice looking aeroplane.
So, anyone have any news about how close it’s first flight is,or has it flown in the last day or so?
Any more news on a date for it’s first flight yet,and will it be at Duxford show 3 and 4 Sept?
Looks like a Hurricane to me.
Replica ,rebuild ,call it what you like it is at the end of the day a fine achievement and it is another Spitfire, so who cares about the nit-picking.I for one would not turn my nose up at it if I had the chance of it and could afford it and I’ll bet nobody on this forum would either. It is brilliant that people ressurrect things like this and long may it continue.
I started the thread today, and in it I asked a couple of genuine questions,It had nothing to do with speculation or anything like that.
What a shame, still glad no-one hurt, always liked this particular Seafire and I went to see it several times over the years when Peter Wood had it and was doing the rebuild.Look forward to seeing her back in the air soon and the pilot.
“Hurricane” by Leo McKinstry, done from interesting perspective, went to Hay Festival and met him and bought the book.Very pleased with it.
No idea, but they look american(toe brakes).
