I think its a must to show the full price. After all all taxes are shown on everything else we buy. It is very frustrating when you find a bargain flight to have to add £30odd.
Out of interest does anybody have a break down of the taxes we pay? I know the govenment has some sort of pax tax but are other taxes variable? For instance do BAA airports have higer tax than non BAA? Does tax vary with desternation? If not it seems crazy that you could pay the same tax on a flight to Australia as a hop like MAN-EDI.

The Southampton Seawings display in 2000(?) was memroable. I chose the end of the runway at Lee-on-Solent where most of the aircraft were operating from. The canberra doing a low pass on return from its display as it passed the end of the runway at around 100 ft 😮 , causing afew to duck. The US based Albatross was also a memroable flyby as was its touch and go in the Solent. Would be nice to see a repeat show but with a couple of Cats on the water.
The IAT’s at Greenham always seemed special, although I was only little at the time. I think as they were then only every 2 years, and that you rarely saw many foreign military at uk shows, made them even more special.
Loved the BoB displays at Abingdon. The 1990 BoB anniversary flypast was memroable. But the thing that sticks in my mind was a awsome Lightning display around 1979.

This guy is a god, both pre and wartime. Weather a MBE or such like would mean much to him is for Alex to decide? But he must be the last prewar pilot withstand a Spit flight? It’s time that people like him were more widely know. Kids today eh! 😉

They used to operate it on a oil contract to Kazakstan and the like from the UK then lost the contract so I heard. Now seems to fly adhoc. Should be with you by now as I saw it depart around 1530. Full Ansett scheme with small Eurolynx title.

The courier companys likes of Fedex, DHL(and contractors) etc do make money .But the freight only ‘airlines’ are few and far between, and short lived. Cargolux is one of the few(except the freight arms of SAL, DLH, KAL etc) that has stayed around. Look at AFX,they seemed to hardly operate at all? Most of the US companys like Katilla and Polar seem to survive on USAF contracts.

Great pics, is the Drover airworthy? Love the Wilgas, one of my favourite aircraft. Had a very low level flight in one in Poland while the pilot demonstrated crop spraying 😀 .

How big is the Vulcan Bomber in comparison to the B707?
Any One know if that’s ever been rolled or looped – I have seen it doing what appeared to be stall turns.

Vulcan was rolled at a 50’s Farnborough show 😮 . My guess that the 707 is a larger aircraft, but the vulcan maybe heavier?
Although im sure some of the airbus test pilots would like to have a go at rolling the A340, , would be so much easier with fly by wire.
