Peruvian tucanos bombed ecuatorian positions during the cenepa war.
it was done at night with night vision equipment, they got fired at but at night its a hard target to see.
i dont know how many missions they’ve flown but there’s at least one recall written by one of the pilots.
so if the Peruvian old tucanos have done it, sure the much improved Super-tucano can, with much more impunity.

    dear Mariusz.
please, tell the guys at the maintenance center (bydgoszcz) from me (a fellow aircraft mechanic) that i admire the cleanliness of their shop, MAN! you can eat out of that floor, its not everywhere that you can see such a professional spirit, i salute them all. 😎
buy the way…do you guys have a little space for a few Peruvian Fulcrum-C’s 😀 😀

Geez , FAP was at that time the strongets airforce of South America !!!!!

yes brother, it was at the time
today i still think it is but as you well know this statement can be argued because of the many factors well known to everybody and the arrival of the F-16 to FACH in 2005 (or 6?) will give them “the crown” until FAP or FAB do something about to re-claim the crown.

i think thats the reason why FAB is installing LGB’s (or some kind of “stand-off’ish” weapons) to the Super-tucanos, kinda’ to stay safe a bit, but i’ve never heard about MANPADS or that kinda weapon on drug armies hands, still…i wouldnt be surprissed,
in FAP’s experience its almost routine shuting down or attacking drug related positions, i’m not sure but i think our FAB’s brothers have “talked a bit” with FAP’s dudes, it wouldnt be first time they help each other. 😎

what the drug pilots fly is mostly cessnas, 185, 206, 207, piper seneca 2 & 3, once i saw a twin engined rockwell comander and similar types, also for the river, very powerful boats, very fast but nothing any tucano or A-37B cant handle. (saw them a few times in my youth 😉 )

i saw the Su-29 (i think it was the next variant of the Su-26) at an airshow in Quebec many years ago, flown by a russian unlimited class pilot… 😮
man! i have never seen in my entire life that kinda’ flying, it was the most “espectacular” and after so many years i havent seen anything comparable.
yes, the aerobatic Sukhoi is the machine i’d love to have and fly ’till the end of my days. 😎

long time no see baphomet 😀
i think the markings are SEMAG ( SErvicio de MAterial de Guerra or war material service) if my eyesight doesnt fail me (i’m gettin’ old 😀 )

another…037 is part of the first batch aquired from bielarus, and the flying examples were also from the belarusian batch, word on the streets is that FAP’s wanted to show the “bad tongues” that they were “talking too much” 😀 , altough not all Migs are operational, its being said that 11 are.
about the M2k, its known that 6 at least are operational and 3 did exercise with ronnie’s F-18’s. 😎
